Enotria: The Last Song paired an eight-hour demo announcement with a planned September 19, 2024 release date—but that was not the final platform schedule. The demo was announced for PC and PlayStation 5, the PC and PS5 versions launched on September 19, and the Xbox version was indefinitely delayed in a September 2 notice.

What did the May 2024 announcement say?

On May 16, 2024, developer Jyamma Games announced an eight-hour demo for PlayStation 5 and PC, set to begin May 22, ahead of June’s Steam Next Fest. The studio also named September 19, 2024 as the planned release date for PC via Steam and the Epic Games Store, PS5, and Xbox Series X|S. Read Jyamma Games’ announcement.

The announcement described players as an entity not bound by a prewritten fate and highlighted masks that let them take on different roles and abilities. The September 19 date was a revision: SEGA’s March 22 Japan/Asia notice had listed August 22 as the planned standard release date. SEGA’s May notice subsequently recorded the shift from August 22 to September 19 for the digital release. SEGA’s March notice and May notice are regional product announcements.

How long was the Enotria demo, and what did it include?

Jyamma Games advertised the demo as eight hours long. SEGA’s Japan/Asia notice, dated May 23, says the PS5 and Steam demo had gone live on May 22, covered the opening portion of the game, and let players try changing masks and exploring. That notice said the demo supported English only and was planned to remain available through July 30, 2024; those language and availability details are specific to SEGA’s regional notice, not proof that every territory had identical terms.

The demo dates have passed. In its September launch post, Jyamma Games called the Steam demo an earlier demo and warned players who had its PC build to remove both the demo and its save files before selecting New Game in the full game, to avoid progression-halting crashes. The warning was for PC demo players, not a general instruction for every platform. See the studio’s launch notice.

When did Enotria: The Last Song come out?

The planned standard date moved from August 22 to September 19, 2024. The platform schedule then changed again shortly before launch: Jyamma Games said on September 2 that PC and PS5 would launch digitally on September 19, while Xbox was indefinitely delayed. The PC and PS5 launch was announced on September 19 by Jyamma Games and SEGA. Read the September 2 statement and SEGA’s launch overview.

The studio’s exact wording on September 2 was: “Unfortunately, at this time, we have to announce an indefinite delay of the Xbox version.” This describes the developer’s announcement at that time; it is not a current confirmation of Xbox availability.

What platforms and formats were announced?

The dated announcements distinguish the original plan from the schedule at launch. SEGA’s format details below come from Japan/Asia product information and should not be generalized to every territory.

PC Included in the May 2024 plan and the September 19 launch announcement Digital release; the May plan named Steam and Epic Games Store. SEGA’s Japan/Asia product information lists PC as digital-only.
PlayStation 5 Included in the May plan and the September 19 launch announcement Digital launch September 19; Jyamma Games said a physical PS5 edition was expected a few months later. A current physical release date or stock status is not established by those announcements.
Xbox Series X|S Included in the May plan, then described as indefinitely delayed on September 2 SEGA’s Japan/Asia product information lists Xbox as digital-only. The September delay notice does not establish a later release date.

SEGA’s March Japan/Asia notice had described PC and Xbox as digital-only and listed a planned Deluxe access date of August 19 alongside the then-planned August 22 standard date. Deluxe timing later differed between official pages: Jyamma Games’ support FAQ says September 16, while SEGA’s September launch notice records September 17. The standard release chronology does not depend on resolving that discrepancy.

What kind of game is Enotria?

Jyamma Games describes Enotria: The Last Song as a single-player game inspired by Commedia dell’arte. Its fictional world is trapped in the Canovaccio, an eternal play that holds it in unnatural stasis. The player is the Maskless One, a character without an assigned role, who uses Ardore to challenge the Authors and free the world. Jyamma Games identifies itself as an independent studio based in Milan, Italy. See the official support FAQ.

The game’s mask and combat descriptions are publisher-reported features, not independent measurements. Jyamma Games’ launch announcement says defeated enemies’ masks grant their strength and abilities, and cites more than 120 weapons and 45 spells. SEGA’s launch overview describes three switchable masks, eight weapon types, and more than 120 weapon variations; it also characterizes combat as relying on steps and parries rather than a shield.

How long is one playthrough?

Jyamma Games estimates about 40 hours for one playthrough, while noting that the time depends on player skill and that completionists or less experienced players may take longer. It is the developer’s estimate, not a guaranteed completion time. The estimate appears in the studio’s support FAQ.
