The spelling also matters. ep0llp00.dll can be confused with similarly named Epson files, including ep0lpp00.dll. Check every character in the error. Reinstalling the wrong Epson package will not necessarily provide the file that the requesting program expects.

Fix 1: Identify the printer and the requesting program
Before changing files, gather the information that determines which repair is appropriate.
Check the installed Epson printer
- Press Windows + I to open Settings.
- Select Bluetooth & devices.
- Select Printers & scanners.
- Look for Epson entries and record the complete model name.
- Select the printer and note whether Windows reports an error.
If there is no Epson printer listed, check Settings > Apps > Installed apps for Epson utilities or older printer software. A removed printer can leave behind a startup program or driver package.
Record the executable
Read the error dialog carefully. It may identify an executable, such as an Epson utility, installer, printer monitor, or another program that loads the driver. Record:
- The executable name
- Its folder path, if shown
- Whether the error appears at startup, during printing, or while opening Epson software
- The exact spelling of the DLL
If the file is requested by software unrelated to Epson, do not assume that copying an Epson DLL will solve the problem. Identify the program first.
Fix 2: Remove and reinstall the Epson driver
This is the primary repair for ep0llp00.dll.
Uninstall Epson software
- Turn off the Epson printer.
- Disconnect its USB cable if it uses one.
- Press Windows + I.
- Select Apps.

Download the correct package
After restarting:
- Open Epson’s official support site in your browser.
- Search for the exact printer model recorded earlier.
- Select the Windows support page for that model.
- Choose the package intended for your Windows edition and system architecture.
- Download the printer driver or complete printer software package.
- Run the installer as an administrator if required.
- Reconnect or power on the printer only when the installer requests it.
- Finish the installation.
- Open Settings > Bluetooth & devices > Printers & scanners.
- Select the Epson printer and choose Print a test page.
To check whether Windows is 64-bit or 32-bit, open Settings > System > About and look under System type. Do not combine a loose 32-bit DLL with a 64-bit driver package, or the reverse. Use the package Epson supplies for the exact model and Windows configuration.
If the test page prints and the original program opens without the error, the driver installation was the problem. If the error remains, continue with the next checks rather than downloading the DLL separately.

Fix 3: Check Windows Security quarantine
Windows Security may have removed the file, although restoring a quarantined file is not automatically safe.
- Open Start.
- Type Windows Security.
- Open it.
- Select Virus & threat protection.
- Select Protection history.
- Look for an event involving
ep0llp00.dllor Epson software. - Expand the event and review its location and detection details.
If the file came from the Epson installer or an Epson driver-store location, first reinstall the official Epson package. This replaces the file from the vendor package without requiring you to trust a loose copy.

Fix 4: Repair Windows components with DISM and SFC
DISM and System File Checker repair protected Windows components. They normally will not recreate a missing Epson driver file, but they are useful when the Epson installer fails, Windows reports broader corruption, or several system functions are malfunctioning.
- Open Start.
- Type
Command Prompt. - Right-click Command Prompt.
- Select Run as administrator.
- Enter this command:
DISM.exe /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth
- Wait for it to finish.
- Run:
sfc /scannow
- Wait until verification reaches 100 percent.
- Restart Windows.
- Run the Epson installer again.
Microsoft recommends running DISM before SFC. If SFC reports that it found no integrity violations, that does not prove ep0llp00.dll exists. SFC primarily checks protected Windows files, not every third-party Epson driver component.

- Select Uninstall device.
- If Windows offers Attempt to remove the driver for this device, select it only for the obsolete Epson entry.
- Select Uninstall.
- Restart Windows.
- Install the current package for the exact printer model.
Do not uninstall unrelated devices or remove a working Epson device merely because it has a similar name. If you are unsure, note the model first and remove only the obsolete entry.
Fix 6: Check Windows Features, but do not expect them to supply this DLL
Windows Features do not normally contain Epson printer-driver files. Still, checking them can rule out a disabled printing component when printing itself is failing.
- Press Windows + R.
- Type:
optionalfeatures
- Press Enter.
- Look for Print and Document Services.
- Expand it if necessary.
- Leave the default Windows printing components enabled.
- Select OK if you made a required change.
- Restart Windows and retry the Epson installer.
Do not enable unrelated features in the hope that one will install ep0llp00.dll. The file must come from the Epson driver package.
Fix 7: Use System Restore after a recent driver change
If the error began immediately after removing or updating a printer driver, System Restore may undo that change.

rstrui.exe
- Press Enter.
- Select Next.
- Choose a restore point from before the Epson change.
- Select Scan for affected programs if available.
- Review the affected drivers and programs.
- Select Next, then Finish.
- Allow Windows to restart.
System Restore normally does not remove personal files, but it can roll back drivers, installed programs, and system settings. If no suitable restore point exists, skip this method and use the Epson reinstall path.

Why regsvr32 ep0llp00.dll usually does not help
regsvr32 registers DLLs that are designed to expose the COM or ActiveX registration entry point called DllRegisterServer. It is not a general missing-DLL repair command.
Do not run:
regsvr32 ep0llp00.dll
unless Epson’s own documentation for the exact printer model specifically instructs you to do so. A missing printer-driver component is normally restored by reinstalling the driver package, not by manually registering one file. If regsvr32 reports that the entry point is missing, that confirms the DLL was not designed for this type of registration.
If the error returns after reinstalling
Check these details again:
- Is the filename exactly
ep0llp00.dll, rather thanep0lpp00.dll? - Which executable requests it?
- Does the popup appear at startup or only during printing?
- Is the Epson printer model correct?
- Did the installer complete without an error?
- Is the file being quarantined again?
- Is the file located outside an Epson installation or driver-store path?
- Does the printer work even though an old startup popup remains?
If printing works but a popup remains, an obsolete Epson utility or scheduled startup entry may still reference the removed driver. Remove the associated Epson software instead of copying the DLL.
