The offers were usually available for a week, with daily giveaways during the final stretch of December. The schedule below records the dates and titles; it is historical, so it does not mean the games can still be claimed.
What were the free Epic Games in 2024?
This date-by-date list follows PC Gamer’s historical index, a secondary source for individual offers. Most offers ran Thursday to Thursday, but the December holiday promotion switched to daily offers. Some dates included more than one game or a reward package rather than a standalone game. PC Gamer redacts the December 30 title, so it is left unidentified here.

What Epic reported about its 2024 giveaways
In its February 14, 2025 2024 Year in Review, Epic said it ran 89 free-game giveaways. The company reported 595 million free games claimed, $2,229 in total value per player, and a 76% average score across all free games. These are Epic’s reported figures, not independently audited totals in the cited source.

Were all the 2024 offers full games?
No. The schedule includes some multi-game offers and a Firestone reward package, while Epic’s 2024 MEGA Sale also featured separate in-game items, app offers and reward bundles with their own claim rules and expiry dates. Epic announced an iconic Vault game each week during the May 16–June 13 sale; its separate MEGA Sale giveaways page described extras such as Discord Nitro for eligible new and returning users, Fortnite and Fall Guys cosmetics, and a Warframe item bundle. Those promotions should not be confused with a full PC game giveaway.

The 2024 schedule is a record of past offers, not proof that a title remains redeemable. For offers available now, check Epic’s Free Games page, which lists current promotions and says Epic gives away a free game every week. Epic Support also directs players to that page and provides help for redeeming a free game if something goes wrong.
Quick Recap
Best Value
- An Epic Games account is required to redeem an Epic Games Store Card code
- If playing on a console platform (PlayStation Network, Xbox Live, Nintendo Switch or Mobile) you need to link your Epic Games account to that gaming platform (one time) to redeem your gift card code
- The 16 digit code on the back of the card WILL NOT work if redeemed directly through your gaming platform (PlayStation Network, Xbox Live, Nintendo Switch, Mobile, etc.)
- Note: Nintendo devices do not support Fortnite Shared Wallet, so V-Bucks purchased using your account balance will not show up on your Nintendo device. However, if you purchase items in the web Item Shop — or another platform where you play Fortnite — those items will be available in your Locker across all platforms.
