The storefront lists them as free from October 8 through October 15, 2026. You can claim them during that window and keep them in your Epic library permanently.
What are the Epic Games free games this week?
Epic’s storefront lists two games for the October 8–15, 2026 giveaway:
- Out of Sight, a horror puzzle adventure about Sophie, a blind girl who uses her teddy bear’s eyes to navigate a mansion and evade her captors.
- TerraScape, a kingdom-building puzzle game about placing buildings on floating islands.
Those descriptions come from a Gamermovil roundup updated October 4, 2026, rather than firsthand assessments. The roundup gives US-dollar list prices of $14.99 for Out of Sight and $16.99 for TerraScape; prices may differ by region. Read the roundup.
The games offer different premises: Out of Sight centers on horror and puzzle-driven evasion, while TerraScape focuses on building a kingdom through placement puzzles. Neither description establishes a quality ranking.

How long do I have to claim this week’s Epic free games?
The listed offer runs from October 8 through October 15, 2026. Epic Player Support says weekly free games become available on Thursdays at 8 AM PT and can be claimed for seven days. The previous listed offer, Buried Stars and System Shock 2: 25th Anniversary Remaster, ends October 8 at 11:00 AM on the storefront. Check the Epic Games Store listing for the live offer and current status.
How do I claim the games?
- Open the Epic Games Store Free Games section and sign in to your Epic account.
- Make sure two-factor authentication is enabled on the account; Epic requires it to claim a free game.
- Open each game’s store page and complete the claim before the offer rotates.
Once claimed, a game stays in your Epic library permanently, even if you do not download it right away. Epic says Player Support does not have advance information about upcoming free games, so the storefront is the place to check for the current lineup.
