Was the Vampire Survivors Epic Games Store leak real?
The identifiable leak was substantially borne out in December 2024. Notebookcheck reported on December 18 that Vampire Survivors was expected to be an Epic holiday mystery game from December 19 to December 20. A Steam Community announcement dated December 19 recorded the Epic giveaway and its claim window. That community post corroborates the event, but it is not an official Epic announcement.
Those records establish a past giveaway, not a current one. Epic’s offers rotate, and its support team says it does not have advance information about upcoming free games. Treat later leak claims as rumors unless the offer appears on Epic’s storefront.

It lists Windows and Mac OS, controller support, cloud saves, co-op, and 1–4 player couch co-op. Epic Games Player Support says a new free game becomes available every Thursday at 8 AM PT and can be claimed for seven days. A game claimed during its offer period stays in the account library permanently, even if it is not downloaded right away. What the giveaway does—and does not—include
Claiming the base game does not establish that every add-on is included.
