The FTC is no longer accepting claims in the Fortnite refund case. The filing deadline was July 9, 2025. People who already filed can check the FTC’s official refund page for updates; the agency says additional payments are expected in 2026 after claims are reviewed and validated.
Can you still file a Fortnite FTC claim?
No. The FTC says the claim period is closed, and the deadline was July 9, 2025. The earlier headline idea that the claim process “is live” is no longer accurate. The FTC’s refund page is the place to check for official updates if you submitted a claim.

When will Fortnite settlement payments arrive?
The FTC says additional payments are expected in 2026 after it reviews and validates claims. The agency has not announced an individual payment date or amount on its current refund page, so a payment should not be assumed or estimated from prior rounds.
In June 2025, the FTC said it had sent 969,173 payments totaling more than $126 million to consumers with valid claims filed by February 14, 2025. In the first round, reported in 2024, it sent 629,344 payments totaling more than $72 million; the average in that round was about $114, not a promised amount for later payments.

How to recognize a Fortnite refund scam
The FTC says it never requires people to pay money or provide account information to get a refund. Do not pay a supposed claims helper or refund agent, and do not give them account details. Use the FTC’s own refund page or the listed administrator number instead.
What the $245 million Fortnite settlement covers
The FTC’s order required Epic Games to pay $245 million to consumers in connection with allegations about unwanted Fortnite purchases. The FTC alleged that confusing purchase controls led to unintended charges, children could make purchases without parental consent, and some consumers who disputed charges were locked out of their accounts. These are the allegations addressed through the FTC order.
