Epic Games’ lawsuit against former contractor Hayden Cohen is no longer pending. A stipulated judgment and injunction were entered on July 10, 2026, in Epic’s favor. The case began with Epic’s allegations that Cohen used work access to disclose confidential details about unannounced Fortnite collaborations; the complaint’s claims should be distinguished from the terms of the final judgment.
Why did Epic sue a Fortnite leaker?
In a complaint filed March 5, 2026, Epic identified Cohen as a former contractor who worked on Epic projects as an associate producer through a staffing agency. Epic said he signed a mutual nondisclosure agreement on September 11, 2025, and received access to nonpublic information about upcoming Fortnite content as part of his work. What did Epic allege was revealed?
South Park collaboration

Solo Leveling collaboration
The complaint also alleged that a January 13 post disclosed a planned Solo Leveling collaboration. Epic announced it on February 18 and released it the next day. Epic described these examples as non-exhaustive and alleged that dozens of posts over several weeks concerned characters, cosmetics, release timing, and development status. What harm did Epic claim?

What did Epic say about the case?
In a July 3, 2026, report by Game File, Epic spokesperson Natalie Munoz said: “We took legal action against the former contractor who repeatedly leaked confidential partner IP and trade secrets that they received while working with Epic.
