The studio later reported that data-center load had generally stabilized, though website and authorization issues—and some launcher and game errors—continued. Those are launch-period statements from November 2025, not a live status report.
What happened when Escape from Tarkov 1.0 launched?
Battlestate Games announced the 1.0 release at G-Star 2025 on November 15, 2025, describing it as a release with improvements, changes, and fixes across the game. On launch day, the studio acknowledged that high traffic could interfere with server connections and authorization in both the launcher and the game. It said its technical team was working to stabilize game servers and authorization services. Battlestate Games’ 1.0 announcement and launch-day service updates document the announcement and response.
The studio’s follow-up made clear that the problem was not limited to players failing to enter raids. Battlestate said data-center load had generally stabilized, while work continued on the official website and authorization centers; some users could still see errors in the launcher and game. It also said it planned in-game compensation. The announcement described the affected group as “some players,” not as a measured share of the player base.
Which parts of the service were affected?
- Game server connections: High traffic could prevent or disrupt connecting to servers.
- Authorization: Battlestate said authorization problems could affect both the launcher and game.
- Website access: The studio’s follow-up said it was still addressing problems with its official website.
- Raid availability during maintenance: A separate technical update was intended to stabilize and optimize game-server performance. The announcement warned that raids on servers receiving updates could be shortened to 10 minutes. The developer’s Steam community forum post contains that warning.
These distinctions matter when diagnosing a failed login: being unable to authorize an account is not necessarily the same failure as being unable to connect to a game server, even when both occur during the same high-traffic launch.

What did Battlestate say it was doing?
The initial response focused on stabilizing game servers and authorization services. The later Steam community notice described a technical update aimed at server stability and performance optimization, with the possibility of shortened raids on servers being updated.
In comments reported by GamesRadar on November 17, game director Nikita Buyanov called the release “rough for sure,” said the incoming fixes were not enough, and described plans to add servers worldwide to reduce matchmaking times while addressing bugs and performance problems. GamesRadar’s report attributes those remarks to Buyanov; it is a press report, rather than a Battlestate service-status notice.

They describe plans and assessments made in November 2025; they do not establish that every planned change was completed or that every issue was resolved.

The launch reports establish that Battlestate acknowledged access disruption on November 15, 2025, and later said some related problems persisted even after data-center load had generally stabilized. They do not establish current availability, regional uptime, or the status of every server. For a present-day outage, check Battlestate’s current official announcements rather than treating launch-week reports as live status information.
