Escape from Tarkov: Arena received a technical patch announced for September 23, 2026, just before its September 24–27 free weekend. Battlestate Games said the update was ready to download through its launcher, but its announcement did not describe the patch’s individual fixes or balance changes. The free weekend, Twitch Drops and related discounts have all ended.
What was in the Arena patch?
Battlestate Games announced a technical update for September 23, with installation planned for 8:00 AM BST / 3:00 AM EST and around three hours of expected downtime. The publisher cautioned that maintenance could take longer and the game would be inaccessible during it. A follow-up said installation was complete and directed players to download the update through the Battlestate Games Launcher.
The announcement linked to patch notes but did not spell out specific changes in its post. The event features described separately—such as a new map and a reworked mode—should not be mistaken for confirmed patch notes.
What did the free weekend include?
The free-play event ran September 24–27, 2026. Battlestate’s official announcement said, “From September 24 to 27, everyone will be able to play Escape from Tarkov: Arena for free.” Access required registration on the official EFT: Arena website and installing the Battlestate Games Launcher. That access window is over.
