Escape From Tarkov patch 1.2.0.0, dated 6 October 2026, changes several extractions: it adds a status cue for Run-Through extracts, adds new PMC and Scav exits on Customs, and fixes an existing co-op extract on Boiler Room Basement. The secret hideout exit on Interchange is a different matter. The official team reports a fix to it and a 90-second timer, but the cited post does not show that patch 1.2.0.0 introduced the exit. The Unity 6 switch is also not a main-game change. It was announced for Escape From Tarkov: Arena patch 0.5.0.
What patch 1.2.0.0 changed for extraction
SteamDB’s dated patch record for Escape From Tarkov patch 1.2.0.0 lists three extraction-related items. They are different kinds of change, so they are easier to read side by side.
| Change | Type of change | What the patch entry says |
|---|---|---|
| Run-Through extraction status indicator | Quality-of-life cue | The extraction timer turns white when the player will receive Run-Through status if the timer expires. |
| PMC and Scav exits on Customs | New exits | New PMC and Scav exits are added to Customs. |
| Boiler Room Basement co-op extract | Fix to an existing exit | The extract is available regardless of the location area where the player spawned. |
Run-Through status cue
This change does not add a route out of a raid. It changes what the extraction timer shows. When the timer is on screen, a white timer means that if it runs out, the player will receive Run-Through status. Players who previously had to remember that rule can now check the timer itself.
New PMC and Scav exits on Customs
The entry lists new exits for both PMC and Scav players on Customs. The entry does not give exit coordinates or timers for these exits in the material reviewed, so check the in-game map or the official launcher for their exact positions.

Boiler Room Basement co-op extract
The Boiler Room Basement co-op extract was already part of the game. Patch 1.2.0.0 fixes it so that it works regardless of where a player spawned on the location. This is a correction, not a new hidden route.
The Interchange secret hideout exit
The hidden-exit story comes from an official Escape From Tarkov Telegram post. It reports a fix to the secret secure hideout exit on Interchange. According to the post, the Bottle of Fierce Hatchling moonshine can be stashed there, and as part of the fix the exit timer was increased to 90 seconds.
The post supports two statements: the exit exists, and its timer is 90 seconds after the fix. It does not say that patch 1.2.0.0 introduced the exit, and the post’s publication date was not part of the material reviewed. Treat the exit as an existing feature that was adjusted, not as a patch 1.2.0.0 addition.

Other changes in patch 1.2.0.0
The SteamDB entry describes a larger update than the extraction items. If you are writing about extraction specifically, these are background rather than extraction features. They include:
- PvE bot behavior and distribution changes.
- Six PvE Prestige levels.
- Location adjustments on Customs and Interchange.
- Reworked environmental audio on Shoreline.
- Multiple bug fixes.

The Unity 6 move applies to Arena, not the main game
The engine change was announced by the official Escape From Tarkov account on Telegram. It concerns Escape From Tarkov: Arena, the team’s separate mode, and it was tied to Arena patch 0.5.0. The announcement said that patch 0.5.0 had been postponed to mid-April 2026 and that the team had decided to move to Unity 6.

What is not established
The announcement gives an intention, not a result. It does not include a benchmark, a frame-rate figure, or any other measured gain from the Unity 6 move, and no such figure was found in the official post. Do not describe the change as delivering faster performance. Describe it as the team’s stated goal for Arena.
The announcement does not say that the main Escape From Tarkov client is moving to Unity 6. Unless a later official notice says so, the main game’s engine change has not been announced.
