The patch notes specify PvE Zone, not PvP; Insider Gaming separately reported an offer of roughly 250 million roubles for around US$50, but that estimate is not an official price listed in the notes.
Can you buy roubles in Escape from Tarkov?
Yes. The 6 October 2026 update 1.2.0.0 added the ability to purchase in-game roubles in the Expansions Hub for PvE Zone. The official patch-note wording, reproduced by SteamDB, is: “Added the ability to purchase in-game roubles in PvE Zone.”
The cited update notes limit the feature to PvE Zone. They do not say that players can buy roubles in PvP, nor do they establish availability for every region or account.
What does the rouble offer cost?
Insider Gaming reported an offer of about 250 million roubles for around US$50. Treat that as a secondary report and approximate figure: the patch notes confirm the purchase feature and its PvE scope, but do not state a price or bundle.
#1 Best Overall
- Custom made based on beanie from Escape from Tarkov
- A great gift for the holidays or to add to your Tarkov collection
- Perfect for raiding!
The reviewed sources do not establish the exact bundles, local or regional prices, payment methods, purchase limits, or account and edition requirements. Check the live Expansions Hub purchase flow for the terms shown to your account before buying.
Roubles are not TarCoins
The new offer concerns in-game roubles. TarCoins are a separate currency used in the Expansions Hub. The Steam storefront lists TarCoin among Escape from Tarkov’s digital content, while the Steam community announcement index describes TarCoins as Hub currency that can be purchased through the Hub, the official website, or Steam. Those existing TarCoin purchase routes do not establish the terms for buying roubles.
