Escape from Tarkov’s 1.0 installation was scheduled to begin on November 14, 2025, at 11:00 GMT / 06:00 EST, with Battlestate Games estimating about 24 hours for the rollout. The studio announced November 15 as the release date. That 24-hour figure was an estimate, not a verified measure of how long the game was actually unavailable.
When was Escape from Tarkov offline for the 1.0 update?
Battlestate Games announced on November 13, 2025, that installation of release patch 1.0 would start the following day at 11:00 GMT / 06:00 EST and take approximately 24 hours. On November 14, the official channel said installation had begun and repeated the estimate. The studio announced November 15, 2025, as the 1.0 release date.
The notices set out the planned schedule; they do not confirm the exact time the game became playable again. It is therefore accurate to describe this as a planned, approximately 24-hour installation—not to state that the servers were definitively down for exactly 24 hours. Which services and wipes were announced?
| Service | Announced impact |
|---|---|
| Escape from Tarkov PvP | Planned downtime for the 1.0 installation; Battlestate said there would be a wipe. |
| Tarkov Arena | Scheduled to go down for 24 hours for update 0.4.0.5, with a partial wipe. |
| Official websites and Account Center | Expected to be unavailable during the first five hours of installation. |
These were the developer’s announced impacts, not a later confirmation of actual service availability. The PvP wipe and Arena’s partial wipe were separate details; the announcement did not describe them as the same wipe.

What happened on release day?
On November 15, Battlestate announced the release of Escape from Tarkov 1.0. The studio also acknowledged that high traffic was causing connection and authorization problems for some players, and said its technical team was working to stabilize the services. PC Gamer reported the complaints and the developer’s response that day: Escape from Tarkov launch-day server issues.
The available reporting does not establish when those problems ended or show that every player was unable to connect. They should not be treated as proof that the scheduled installation lasted longer than its estimate.
