Eterspire’s v83 update, “A Night Full of Frights!”, arrived on October 6, 2026, bringing Halloween quests and cosmetics to Aetera alongside a redesigned area, Champion enemies, revised hunts and a vendor for rewards from completed quests. The limited-time “Trick or Treat” quest and its special rewards are available through the end of October 2026; the announcement does not specify an exact cutoff time or time zone.
How to start the Halloween quests
Trick or Treat
Go to Stonehollow Fairgrounds and speak with Sweettooth to begin “Trick or Treat.” Pocket Gamer reports that the quest is available from level 8. The fairgrounds are decorated for the season, and costumed Adventurers’ Guild members offer exclusive seasonal cosmetics. The quest and its special rewards are available until the end of October 2026, with no precise deadline time or time zone stated in the announcement. Eterspire’s update archive and Pocket Gamer’s October 6 coverage describe the event and its starting point.
Little Red Missing Hood
For the separate “Little Red Missing Hood” quest, speak with Luna at the Desolate Ruins. It requires level 137 and centers on finding her missing cape before the full moon. Unlike the seasonal event quest, the announcement does not give this quest an October expiry date. Pocket Gamer’s update report also confirms its location and level requirement.
What else is new in v83?
Champions add a combat twist
Enemies faced during quests or hunts now have a chance to appear as Champions: stronger versions with unique patterns and attacks that players can dodge. The chance means a Champion is not guaranteed in every encounter. The patch notes describe this as groundwork for more dynamic combat and future encounters. Read the official Eterspire v83 notes.

The Halloween event has an explicit end-of-October deadline, while the update describes Champions, revised hunts, the Firefly Grove redesign and Slipperypalms as v83 features without stating an October expiry for them. That does not establish that those features will remain permanently; it means only that the announcement gives no time limit for them.
