This checklist covers the anomalies reported in Shinkansen 0, explains the opposite rules for normal and green cars, and gives spoiler-marked directions to both endings. Guides disagree on the total: the detailed list below follows the 52-anomaly count published by 多趣味のつらつらブログ in March 2024, not a confirmed, version-independent official count. Some entries may vary with updates or supporter content.
How to use this anomaly checklist
The game sends you through train cars from car seven toward car zero, asking you to decide whether each car looks normal. Compare each car with the baseline you have already seen. A changed seat, sign or passenger can matter just as much as an obvious supernatural event.

The lists below consolidate examples reported by walkthroughs; they are not an official developer-issued taxonomy. Guides sometimes describe the same event in different ways, and the anomaly pool may change between versions.
Scan in a consistent order
- Check car numbers, signs, destination boards and posters for changed text or images.
- Compare seats: their number, position, color, shape and upholstery can change.
- Look at passengers and other figures, including their presence, posture, faces and reflections.
- Inspect windows, the view outside, lights, the floor and the aisle.
- Watch for events that begin after you enter, such as a door moving or an object rolling.
What should I do if there is an anomaly?
In the normal, or blue, cars, go forward when the car appears normal and go back when you spot an anomaly. In the green cars, reverse that decision: go back when the car is normal and forward when it contains an anomaly. The zone between cars, including the WC, is reported to be anomaly-free, so use it to reset and check your direction.

Dot Esports reports that three mistakes in the green-car section trigger death. Guides also say only one anomaly appears at a time, although anomalies can repeat late in a run. Treat the green phone’s remaining-anomalies counter as a progress clue, not infallible confirmation: the Japanese guide notes counter behavior it considered buggy in version 1.4.
Why does the green car rule work backwards?
The reversal is a deliberate rule change for the green-car section, not a sign that you misread the normal-car instructions. Before choosing, identify which section you are in; then apply that section’s rule consistently.
All anomalies in the normal (blue) cars
These are the normal-car anomalies reported in the walkthrough lists. The descriptions reveal some scares.
Seats, signs and printed images
- An office worker sits upright.
- The blinds descend.
- Seat signs spell “DEATH.”
- The destination board displays misleading information.
- The car number at the entrance differs from the number at the exit.
- Seats become lighter or tilt backward.
- Seat cloth takes on a face-like shape or changes pattern.
- Eyes appear on the cat poster or on seat handles.
- A figure steps out of a photograph or grows into a seat.
Passengers, figures and reflections
- Eyes follow you outside the windows or from behind the exit door.
- Hands appear around a window.
- A person is under a seat.
- An unexpected person appears where luggage should be.
- A doppelganger appears in reflections.
Doors, lights and changes to the car
- A door opens and closes as you approach, or opens by itself.
- The train enters a concrete tunnel.
- A can rolls down the aisle, followed by a cleaner.
- A window leaks.
- The lights go out.
- The car is mirrored or emptied.
- The seating arrangement changes. ShowGamer notes that supporter content can affect one seating-arrangement display.
- Seats are missing.
All anomalies in the green cars
Green-car examples reported by the guides include dramatic environmental changes as well as smaller changes in figures, screens and passengers.

Conductor, passengers and other figures
- The conductor is absent.
- A conductor rushes toward you or watches you.
- A glowing-eyed figure appears near the seats or changes posture.
- A figure attacks after you pass.
- A figure pushes against a door.
- A passenger’s face or eyes change.

- A laptop screen tracks your view.

- A trolley or food event occurs.
- A warning appears on the display.
How many anomalies are there?
Published guides give different totals, and the figures should not be treated as one settled count. Dot Esports’ April 12, 2024 guide reports 50 anomalies, split as 25 per car section. 多趣味のつらつらブログ lists 26 normal-car and 26 green-car anomalies, 52 in total, in its March 25, 2024 guide; it also warns that updates may change the types or count. ShowGamer’s detailed enumeration supports the 26-per-section list. These are walkthrough counts, not independently verified official statistics.
Use the checklist as a practical guide rather than a guarantee that every current version has exactly 52 entries. Repeated anomalies and version differences can make a run’s apparent progress diverge from a static list.
Both endings (major spoilers)
The ending directions below reveal the game’s final route and story beats.
First ending
- Continue through the normal and green cars until you reach the Conductor’s Room.
- Press the button.
- Leave through the open train doors and head toward the light.
Second ending
- After stopping the train, return through the green cars to the normal car.
- Speak with your sister and choose the normal side.
- When the ghost pursues you, reach the Conductor’s Room and press the button again.
Dot Esports describes this ending as explaining the loop and the siblings’ fate; that is the guide’s summary of the story.
