PowerPyx’s October 15, 2025 checklist names 230 Pokémon species and 62 Mega Evolution entries in the base-game Lumiose Pokédex. Those are third-party guide counts, not an official total for the game and its downloadable content. The Pokémon Company’s roster page is explicitly selective, while its official Mega Dimension page names additional Pokémon and Mega forms without claiming to list the entire DLC Pokédex.
How to read this Pokémon Legends: Z-A roster
- Base-game species: PowerPyx’s guide reproduces a 230-entry Lumiose Pokédex checklist in in-game order. This is a third-party list, not an official count published by The Pokémon Company. See the PowerPyx Pokédex guide.
- Mega Evolution entries: The same guide lists 62 Mega Evolution entries separately. These are forms, not 62 additional species, so they should not be added to the species count as if they were new Pokémon.
- DLC: The official Mega Dimension page confirms selected Pokémon and forms for additional story content set after the main story. Its named examples are not a complete DLC Pokédex.
The Pokémon Company says its official roster page introduces “some of the Pokémon” players can expect to meet, so that page should not be treated as a complete Pokédex. View the official Pokémon roster page.
