Below, those groups are kept separate so returning weapons aren’t mistaken for Heresy originals.
New episodic weapons
Bungie introduced the Heretical Arsenal in stages during the Episode. Its January 2025 preview highlighted two weapons and described a special Adept version system for the new Heretical weapons; the March Act II preview said five remaining weapons became available with Act II. These are Heresy-era descriptions, not confirmation that the same weapons still drop through those systems today. Bungie’s Jan. 30 preview and Act II preview provide the details.

| Weapon | Family and element | Notable feature announced by Bungie |
|---|---|---|
| Adamantite | Support Frame Auto Rifle; Strand | Heals allies and creates unraveling projectiles that track and damage enemies. |
| Psychopomp | Area Denial Grenade Launcher; Arc | Rolling Storm grants Bolt Charge after final blows. |
Bungie said Heretical weapons could have Adept versions that accept Adept Mods, a second Origin Trait, and additional perks in the third and fourth columns. The Act II preview specifically said the five remaining weapons could drop as Adepts, with extra perks and the Runneth Over Origin Trait. Those statements describe the original seasonal item system; they do not establish current drop availability or guarantee that every item had every listed feature.
New Exotic weapons
| Weapon | Family and element | Distinctive effect announced by Bungie |
|---|---|---|
| Barrow-Dyad | Exotic Submachine Gun; Strand | Generates Blighted Seekers while firing and rapidly regenerates ammo when the weapon is not firing. |
| Lodestar | Exotic Trace Rifle; Arc; Primary ammo | Fires a beam from the hip and a burst when aimed. Arc damage charges its Arc Alignment meter; a special reload overcharges it, and a hit Jolts enemies. |
Bungie described Lodestar as the first Primary-ammo Trace Rifle and identified it as the Season Pass Exotic. The weapon descriptions are from Bungie’s Heresy weapon preview.

Trials and Competitive Crucible weapons
Bungie’s Jan. 22, 2025 Crucible preview announced Keen Thistle for Trials and Redrix’s Estoc for Competitive. The table lists the perk options and Origin Traits included in that preview; it is not a statement about current availability. Read Bungie’s Crucible announcement.

| Keen Thistle | Aggressive Sniper Rifle; Solar | Trials | Left column: Snapshot Sights, Lone Wolf, Under Pressure, Incandescent, Envious Arsenal, Slickdraw, Triple Tap. Exalted Truth also returned to Trials with a refreshed perk set, making it a reprised weapon rather than a newly designed one. Bungie’s preview said another weapon would join the group later in the Episode but did not name it in the passage cited here, so it cannot be identified from that announcement alone.

Reprised weapons: Season of Arrivals and Vault of Glass
Season of Arrivals weapons
Five Season of Arrivals weapons returned at Heresy’s launch with updated perks and the ability to be enhanced. Bungie singled out Cold Denial as a fan favorite, but its announcement passage does not name all five. They belong in a Heresy weapon roundup, but they were returns—not weapons designed for the Episode. Bungie’s Heresy preview describes the refreshed set.
Vault of Glass weapons
The Vault of Glass weapon pool also returned with new perks and craftable patterns. Bungie’s Heresy-era description said patterns could be unlocked through raid drops, with weekly character-based drops and additional drops while Vault of Glass was the featured raid; Master difficulty offered Adept counterparts. These are the acquisition details Bungie described for Heresy, not verified present-day instructions. The weapons themselves are reprised raid weapons, not new Heresy designs. Bungie’s announcement gives the original raid details.

How the weapon rollout worked
- Heresy launch: Bungie said the reprised weapons would be available at launch, alongside the first portion of the episodic weapon set.
- Weekly seasonal rewards: Bungie said each week would feature a Seasonal Challenge rewarding a new tier of seasonal weapon.
- Act II: The Jan. 23 schedule placed the second half of the episodic weapons in Act II; Bungie’s Mar. 6 preview confirmed that five remaining Heretical Arsenal weapons were available then. See the Act II preview and Jan. 23 release announcement.
Can you still get Heresy weapons?
The original seasonal quests and engrams are not a current acquisition guide. Bungie says Heresy missions, quests, engrams, and artifacts were deprecated at the start of Year 8 on July 15, 2025. Later, Update 9.0.0.1 listed Heresy weapons among the weapons Xûr could sell. That establishes a possible legacy vendor route in general, but it does not confirm which specific weapon Xûr has in any given week or the complete current route for each item. Check his live inventory before relying on it.
