Sony announced nine December 2025 additions to the PlayStation Plus Extra and Premium Game Catalog, plus one separate Premium Classics release: Soulcalibur III. This is a historical ranking of that announced lineup, not a statement of what remains available today; catalog selections can vary by region, so check the PlayStation Store for current availability.
December 2025 PS Plus games, ranked
The ranking below is editorial, based on the premises, play styles and multiplayer options described in Sony’s announcement—not on review scores, sales or player statistics. Sony announced the lineup on December 10, 2025. The games were generally scheduled for December 16, with Skate Story the exception, arriving in the service on December 8. Sony’s December announcement says regional lineups may differ. [c001]

Skate Story — PS5
The month’s most unusual hook: you play a glass-bodied demon skating through the Underworld on a mission to swallow the Moon. Sony describes a surreal progression from beginner to hardened skater, with tricks, demons and other souls along the way. Its distinct premise makes it the most immediately memorable pick in this lineup.
-
Assassin’s Creed Mirage — PS5, PS4
For a focused, narrative-led open-world adventure, follow Basim through ninth-century Baghdad. Sony framed Mirage as a smaller-scale, “back to basics” entry in the series. Its Valley of Memory update adds the AlUla region and what Sony describes as six hours of extra gameplay; that figure is Sony’s stated amount, not an independently measured completion time.
