Forza Horizon 5 skills range from basic actions such as drifting and jumping to combo stunts that reward chaining several moves together. Insider Gaming’s guide says an Ultimate Skill Chain requires 20,000 skill points before the multiplier starts; because that threshold is not confirmed here by official mechanics documentation, treat it as a guide-reported target and check the in-game display for your current objective.

How to earn an Ultimate Skill Chain
Insider Gaming recommends building a chain in free roam, where you have more room to combine moves than during a race. Its guide-reported target is 20,000 skill points before the multiplier starts.
- Find room to maneuver. Choose a free-roam area where you can drive safely and keep moving; for a Wreckage-focused approach, the guide recommends an area with plenty of destructible objects.
- Keep actions flowing. Combine moves such as drifting, jumping, building speed, passing or near-missing traffic, and breaking objects. Combo stunts reward performing multiple actions close together.
- Watch the chain display. Use the in-game skill-chain display to track progress toward the target. The guide warns that waiting too long between actions can end the chain; collision or other chain-breaking behavior can put unbanked progress at risk.
- Bank when ready. Once you have built the score you want, end the chain safely to bank it rather than continuing to risk the unbanked total.
Use Accolades to check specific goals
Skill chains can also support Accolade objectives that ask for a score, multiplier, or particular Ultimate skills. A community-maintained Skills Accolades reference lists a two-minute combination challenge involving Ultimate Drift or Ultimate E-Drift, Ultimate Speed, and Ultimate Air. Check the relevant Accolade text in-game to confirm its current wording and progress.

What Skill Songs may change
A community-maintained Forza Wiki page says Skill Songs unlock through Casa Bella, double skill score, and can keep the song bonus going after the track ends if the chain remains unbroken; it also reports a maximum multiplier of ×10. These are community-reference claims, not official mechanics confirmation, so verify the current in-game behavior before relying on them for a run.
