None was officially confirmed for the showcase at the time. The event has since taken place, so the list below separates the original rumors from what post-show recaps document.
What games were rumored for Summer Game Fest 2025?
Insider Gaming’s Ryan Lemay published this prediction list on June 3, three days before the showcase. It mixed clues of different strengths: publisher participation and release-window context, reports attributed to leakers, indirect hints, and possible surprise appearances. A publisher’s involvement in the event did not confirm that any particular game would appear. Insider Gaming’s original preview explicitly cautioned that none of the titles had been officially confirmed.

Sausage Fest 2025 T-Shirt | $18.99 | Buy on Amazon |
| Game or project | What the preview suggested |
|---|---|
| Resident Evil 9 | The preview attributed a “95% positive” confidence claim to leaker Dusk Golem. That was the leaker’s characterization, not an official probability or confirmation. |
| BioShock | Listed as a possible appearance; the preview did not establish an official showcase confirmation. |
| Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds | Considered a possibility in the preview’s roundup. |
| The Wolf Among Us 2 | Listed as a possible appearance, not a confirmed showcase title. |
| Crimson Desert | Included among the potential announcements. |
| Lies of P: Overture | Included among the potential announcements. |
| Arc Raiders | Included among the potential announcements. |
| Blood of Dawnwalker | The preview treated it as uncertain: a company’s participation was not confirmation that this specific game would be shown. |
| Kingdom Hearts 4 | The preview noted that event-partner context did not confirm the game’s appearance. |
| Final Fantasy 9 remake | Listed as a possible announcement. |
| Hollow Knight: Silksong | Listed as a possibility; the preview said Team Cherry’s absence from the partner list did not rule it out. |
| Persona 4 remake | Included among the potential announcements. |
| Subnautica 2 | Included among the potential announcements. |
| Dying Light: The Beast | Included among the potential announcements. |
| Little Nightmares 3 | Included among the potential announcements. |
| Mina the Hollower | Included among the potential announcements. |
| Half-Life 3 | Included as a speculative surprise appearance. |
The original preview’s evidence was not equally strong across all 17 entries. Its list should be read as a roundup of pre-show possibilities, not as a set of confirmed announcements or a uniform-confidence forecast.
Which Summer Game Fest 2025 rumors came true?
Post-show coverage provides a way to check the preview against the event, but the evidence supports a careful distinction: a title appearing in a recap is documented as part of the broadcast; a title missing from the cited recaps cannot be treated as an announcement on the basis of this record. GameSpot’s June 6 recap and PC Gamer’s event report, updated June 7, document a slate that included games not on the rumor list.
#1 Best Overall
- Sausage Fest
- Chandler Arizona
- Lightweight, Classic fit, Double-needle sleeve and bottom hem
Rumored title documented in a post-show recap
- Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds: GameSpot’s recap lists Sonic Racing CrossWorlds among the event’s games. This is the clearest match between a title on the preview list and a title documented in the cited post-show coverage.
Other announcements documented after the show
The recaps also identify Mortal Shell II, Fortnite Death Star Sabotage, a Death Stranding 2: On The Beach segment, Chronicles: Medieval, Code Vein II, and End of Abyss, among other reveals and updates. PC Gamer reported Mortal Shell II as announced for Steam in 2026. These examples show that the event’s slate extended beyond the 17 pre-show possibilities; they do not establish that the other rumored games appeared.
What the record does not establish
The cited recaps do not document the remaining rumor-list titles as showcase announcements. That is not proof that a game was never discussed elsewhere or appeared in some other context; it means the available event coverage does not substantiate a claim that it was announced during this showcase. In particular, a leak, an event-partner listing, or a plausible release window is not interchangeable with a documented broadcast appearance.

- Official confirmation: The preview said none of its 17 entries had been officially confirmed for the showcase before it aired.
- Prediction evidence: The entries drew on varied clues and speculation, so inclusion did not mean every game had the same likelihood.
- Event outcome: A post-show recap is the relevant evidence for whether a title was documented in the broadcast; the clearest overlap in the cited coverage is Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds.
Summer Game Fest’s official website describes the annual event as a live and streamed gathering for game reveals and announcements. Its current page is for the 2026 event, so it is useful here only for general context, not for reconstructing the 2025 program.
