ARC Raiders has four verified extraction categories: cargo elevators, metro stations, airshafts, and Raider Hatches. The first three use terminals; a Raider Hatch requires a key. Standard exits can shut down as a session progresses, while a hatch has no shutdown timer according to the ARC Raiders Wiki. Which route is best depends on your timing, key supply, and tolerance for drawing attention.
What are the extraction options in ARC Raiders?
The ARC Raiders Wiki identifies four extraction-point types: cargo elevators, metro stations, airshafts, and Raider Hatches. The first three are standard extraction points connected to underground tunnels that return Raiders to Speranza. This is a category-level list, not a complete inventory of named exits on every map.
Cargo elevators, metro stations, and airshafts
For a standard exit, reach its location and interact with the terminal to activate access. Most standard points display a shutdown timer on the map; when the timer runs out, the terminal closes and that extraction point deactivates. Check the map for the current timer rather than assuming every point has the same schedule. Embark Studios says standard extraction points have no direct use cost, but they draw attention from ARC machines and other Raiders.
Embark also says available extractions steadily diminish as a session runs longer. Staying to loot may improve your haul, but it can leave fewer exits available by the time you decide to leave.

Raider Hatch
A Raider Hatch is the key-required alternative. Embark’s developer discussion, published July 29, 2025, describes hatches as relatively quiet and quick, and placed in lower-traffic areas. The wiki reports that a hatch remains locked until a Raider Hatch Key is provided, then stays open for approximately 10–15 seconds, accepts Raiders one at a time, and has no shutdown timer. Treat those timing and entry details as wiki-reported behavior, not a guarantee for every current live-game situation.
In that same 2025 discussion, Embark said keys could be purchased, crafted, or found, and described squad use as a “3 for 1 deal.” The wiki’s one-at-a-time entry description does not establish exactly how current party access works. Check the live game before relying on a specific squad rule or assuming key acquisition and balance are unchanged.

How should you choose an extraction route?
| Decision factor | Standard point | Raider Hatch |
|---|---|---|
| Access | Activate the terminal; no direct use cost, according to Embark. | Requires a Raider Hatch Key, according to the wiki and Embark’s July 29, 2025 discussion. |
| Exposure | Embark says standard points attract ARC and other Raiders. | Embark describes hatches as relatively quiet and placed in lower-traffic areas; neither route is guaranteed safe. |
| Time pressure | Most have a map-visible shutdown timer. | The wiki reports no shutdown timer and an opening of approximately 10–15 seconds after unlocking. |
| Group entry | Not stated in the cited sources. | The wiki reports one-at-a-time entry; Embark’s older “3 for 1” squad description does not establish the current party rule. |
Use a standard point when you can reach and activate it before its timer expires and prefer not to spend a hatch key. Consider a hatch when you have a key and want the quieter, quicker option Embark describes. Neither choice guarantees a safe extraction: account for nearby threats and other players, and leave enough time to reach your selected route.

The four categories above are the extraction types verified by the ARC Raiders Wiki, whose page was last edited August 4, 2026.
