Fortnite OG Chapter 1 Season 3 launched on March 25, 2025, bringing back Lucky Landing, introducing a season-long meteor story, restoring classic loot, and briefly reviving OG 50v50. The season is now historical: Epic announced Chapter 1 Season 4 on June 7, 2025.
What changed on the map?
Lucky Landing returned
Lucky Landing came back as a small town with ornate architecture, cherry blossoms, abundant loot, and tight streets suited to close-range fights. Epic described its return as one of the season’s main changes. Epic Games’ March 25, 2025 announcement introduced the location.
The meteor moved closer over time
A meteor appeared in the sky at the start of the season, and Epic said it would emerge and look closer as the season progressed. Its approach provided an evolving story beat rather than a single map update.
Which loot was new, and what carried over?
Epic distinguished gear being added during Season 3 from the inventory available when the season began. The additions below are not the same as the Season 2 carryovers.

Epic said the classic gear would be added throughout the season; its announcement did not label every item as live on day one.
Season 2 inventory carried into the start of the season
Epic separately listed these items as carryovers at the beginning of Season 3:
- Weapons: Assault Rifle, Burst Assault Rifle, Scoped Assault Rifle, Minigun, Pistol, Revolver, Suppressed Pistol, Suppressed Submachine Gun, Tactical Submachine Gun, Pump Shotgun, Tactical Shotgun, Bolt-Action Sniper Rifle, Semi-Auto Sniper Rifle, Crossbow, Grenade Launcher, and Rocket Launcher.
- Items and traps: Boogie Bomb, Bushes, Cozy Campfire, Grenade, Impulse Grenade, Smoke Grenade, Port-A-Bunker, Damage Trap, and Launch Pad (non-throwable version).
- Healing and shields: Bandages, Med Kits, Shield Potions, Small Shield Potions, Slurp Juice, and Chug Jug.
Supply Llamas, vending machines, and Zero Build
Supply Llamas and vending machines were present from day one. In Zero Build, players could gather materials to spend at vending machines and place Traps on the landscape.
What was OG 50v50?
OG 50v50 returned as a limited-time mode built around two teams of 50 players. Epic said it would be available until April 14, 2025, at 9 a.m. ET, so that date describes its announced 2025 run—not current availability. Epic also noted that the original 50v50 was Fortnite Battle Royale’s first limited-time mode, added in 2017.

What was in the Season 3 OG Pass?
The OG Pass offered 45 reward tiers inspired by classic Chapter 1 Season 3. Epic named three premium outfits: Power Punk, Mecha R3X, and Sir Raven. Other named rewards included The Rebel Pickaxe, Horizon Rider Glider, and Fowl Mantle Back Bling.
Under Epic’s 2025 announcement, the premium Pass could be purchased for 1,000 V-Bucks or accessed through Fortnite Crew. Players could unlock rewards by earning XP in any Fortnite experience. Those were the announced terms for that season, not current pricing or availability.
When did Fortnite OG Season 3 take place?
Chapter 1 Season 3 began March 25, 2025. Epic’s June 7, 2025 announcement of Season 4 confirms that Season 3 was followed by another OG chapter season. References to the mode, Pass, and reward terms here describe that historical season.
