You can plan chains by previewing how one Evolution’s resulting stats affect eligibility for another. There is no universal price—check each slot’s requirements, cost and timers in-game before committing.
How do Evolutions work?
An Evolution is a slot-based upgrade for an eligible Player Item. The slot sets the entry requirements, objectives and rewards. EA’s Evolutions guide explains the process and current general rules; the actual slots and offers can change, so use the in-game details for the option available to you.

- In Ultimate Team, open Club → Evolutions.
- Choose Available Evolutions, then select a slot.
- Review the eligible-player requirements, unlock cost and timers before proceeding.
- Submit a qualifying Player Item.
- In My Evolutions, set the desired Evolution to Active so you can progress its objectives.
- Complete the challenges and claim each level’s rewards. Where a slot offers reward choices, check them before claiming; some choices can be previewed and changed until the level is completed and claimed.
While a standard Evolution is in progress, the submitted item becomes untradeable and cannot be discarded or submitted to an SBC. Once the Evolution is complete, the resulting item can be used in SBCs.
Can you chain Evolutions?
Yes, when the item produced by one Evolution meets the entry rules for another. Treat a chain as a path to check, not a guaranteed sequence: upgraded stats can affect whether the next slot accepts the item.

- Select an Evolution and choose a player to preview.
- Preview the resulting item, then add another Evolution to the preview.
- Check the next slot’s requirements against the projected stats, including any attribute limits.
- Compare the full projected result with your squad’s needs before committing to the first slot.
EA Help says available follow-up Evolutions are filtered using the Player Item’s resulting stats. The preview can help you test eligibility, while the useful chain for your squad depends on the attributes, roles and playstyles you value.
What FC 25’s attribute limits mean
EA’s FC 25 Ultimate Team launch update described limits on selected attribute boosts. For example, EA illustrated a +10 Pace boost capped at 90 Pace. That is an example of the design, not a current offer or a rule that every Evolution uses the same cap. EA said the change was intended to reduce strict entry thresholds and let a wider range of players maximize an Evolution; it was a statement of design intent, not a measured outcome.
How much do Evolutions cost?
There is no single price for FC 25 Evolutions. EA’s guidance says to inspect each slot’s unlock cost before continuing. Some slots require in-game currency and others do not; the displayed offer is the relevant price for your account. Do not rely on prices remembered from older offers or community posts.

Before paying, weigh the displayed FC Points or Ultimate Team Coins against the reward, objectives, time remaining and the item’s temporary untradeability. For Training Camp specifically, EA’s Training Camp Evolutions notes say that an offer may or may not require in-game currency.
Check the timers before starting
Two different countdowns may appear, and they govern different things:
- Get Within X Days: the window to activate the Evolution.
- Expires In X Days: the time available to complete it.
If the completion window expires, upgrades for levels already completed remain. Incomplete or partly completed levels do not award their upgrades. Check both deadlines against your schedule and the required challenges before activating.

What happens if you cancel or remove an Evolution?
Removing an Evolution from an item is different from cancelling one that is still underway. EA says you can remove the last Evolution applied or remove all Evolutions, but removal is final once confirmed. Review the downgrade details on the confirmation screen first. If the item was tradeable before its Evolutions, it becomes tradeable again after all Evolutions are removed.
For a paid Training Camp Evolution, EA says cancellation does not return FC Points or Ultimate Team Coins spent and does not grant unearned rewards. Read the confirmation screen carefully before cancelling or removing anything.
How Training Camp Evolutions differ
Training Camp Evolutions passively upgrade an item over a set period rather than progressing through the standard active-objective flow. During that period, the player is unavailable for gameplay, though you can view the item in your Club. After the time elapses, claim the upgrades.

A standard Evolution that is still in progress cannot be used to start a Training Camp Evolution. An item from a completed standard Evolution may qualify if it meets the Training Camp slot’s requirements.
What to compare before choosing a slot or chain
Use the slot’s current in-game details to compare the options that matter to your club:
