Faker is now depicted as a Minion alongside T1 teammates Doran, Oner, Peyz and Keria in an officially licensed T1 x Minions merchandise collection. T1 partnered with Universal Products & Experiences for the collaboration, which launched at 11 a.m. Korea Standard Time on October 13, 2026, through T1’s online store.
Why Faker is a Minion
The character artwork is part of a T1 merchandise project with Universal Products & Experiences, the company handling Universal’s consumer-products licensing. Rather than using only a team logo or a generic mascot, the collection turns T1’s current LCK starters—Doran, Oner, Faker, Peyz and Keria—into Minion characters.

T1 said Universal made a special exception to approve portrayals of real esports players as Minions. That makes this collaboration unusual: the licensing decision covers recognizable professional players, not simply a team adopting Minions imagery for a limited promotion. The exception should be understood as T1’s description of this specific deal, not as a published blanket policy for future esports partnerships.
Joe Marsh, T1’s CEO, called the project “a monumental moment where competitive esports culture meets world-class entertainment.” He also said Universal’s approval to portray T1 players as Minions demonstrated T1’s global influence.

Where and when it launched
The collection went on sale at 11 a.m. KST on October 13, 2026, through T1’s online store.
