What the showcase will contain
The format is designed as a continuous run of back-to-back trailers and reveals rather than a small number of long presentations. Insider Gaming says projects from studios of different sizes can appear, giving the program room for both independent and larger development teams.
Games with a 2027 launch
Projects targeting a 2027 release are the central focus. A game can qualify if it is scheduled to enter Early Access during 2027 or if its full version 1.0 launch is planned for that year.

- DIGITAL GAMES: Choose from hundreds of games, from AAA to indie options. Start playing the moment your most anticipated game is available when you pre-order and pre-download it.
- GAME AD-ONS: Extend the experience of your favorite games with add-ons and in-game currency.
- MOVIES & TV SHOWS: Rent or buy new and popular movies and TV shows from a massive library.
- PERFECT GIFT: Great as a gift for a friend or yourself. Xbox Gift Cards are easy to use, never expire, and give the freedom to pick the gift they want. Enjoy more ways to play without a credit card attached to your Microsoft account.
Major expansions, downloadable content and updates
Previously announced games are also eligible when they have a major expansion or downloadable-content release planned for 2027. A substantial 2027 game update can qualify as well. The criteria therefore cover more than brand-new announcements: a follow-up trailer or a major content reveal may be included when the work is expected to arrive in 2027.
Has a game lineup been announced?
No. A confirmed title list has not been published while submissions remain open. The announcement establishes the event’s timing, format and eligibility rules, but it does not name participating games, platforms for individual titles or whether a particular appearance will be a first reveal or a follow-up trailer.

- Give the gift of fun with a Nintendo eShop gift code
- It's easy—apply it to your Nintendo eShop account in seconds.
- It ensures that you’ll always have funds on hand to help with purchases of new games and applications
- It’s designed for your Nintendo eShop purchases—no credit card required.
- The perfect gift for anyone who loves to play—including you. Choose from over 1,000 new, classic and indie games – delivered directly to your Nintendo Switch system.
Because the lineup is not confirmed, claims about specific games appearing should be treated as speculation until Insider Gaming publishes them directly.
What happens after the broadcast?
Insider Gaming plans additional coverage after the show. The company says it will publish individual interviews and articles on Insider-Gaming.com, produce a dedicated showcase newsletter and add more material in the Insider Gaming app. Those follow-up pieces are intended to provide detail beyond the short trailer-and-reveal sequence.
Rank #4
- An Epic Games account is required to redeem an Epic Games Store Card code
- If playing on a console platform (PlayStation Network, Xbox Live, Nintendo Switch or Mobile) you need to link your Epic Games account to that gaming platform (one time) to redeem your gift card code
- The 16 digit code on the back of the card WILL NOT work if redeemed directly through your gaming platform (PlayStation Network, Xbox Live, Nintendo Switch, Mobile, etc.)
- Note: Nintendo devices do not support Fortnite Shared Wallet, so V-Bucks purchased using your account balance will not show up on your Nintendo device. However, if you purchase items in the web Item Shop — or another platform where you play Fortnite — those items will be available in your Locker across all platforms.
- Redemption: Online
Insider Gaming describes the event with the line, “There’s no multi-year waiting here.” The intended message is that the focus stays on projects and major content with a 2027 target, rather than games that have no near-term release window.
How developers and publishers can submit a game
Developers and publishers can submit eligible projects through the showcase process. The schedule has three important deadlines:
Best Value
- Give the gift of fun with a Nintendo eShop gift code
- It's easy—apply it to your Nintendo eShop account in seconds.
- It ensures that you’ll always have funds on hand to help with purchases of new games and applications
- It’s designed for your Nintendo eShop purchases—no credit card required.
- The perfect gift for anyone who loves to play—including you. Choose from over 1,000 new, classic and indie games – delivered directly to your Nintendo Switch system.
- November 25, 2026: submissions close.
- December 11, 2026: interviews are scheduled through this date.
- January 4, 2027: final assets are due.
What is needed at first submission
Final trailers or polished promotional materials are not required at the initial submission stage. A general description of what the team could provide is acceptable, allowing a project to be proposed before all showcase assets are complete.
Eligibility check before submitting
- The game must target a 2027 release, including Early Access or version 1.0.
- A project already on the market may qualify if a major expansion, DLC release or major update is planned for 2027.
- Only projects with a 2027 target should be submitted.
- Teams should be able to provide final showcase assets by January 4, 2027.
The announcement does not state a separate fee, platform requirement or guaranteed appearance for every submission. Submission acceptance and final placement are therefore decisions for Insider Gaming.
What viewers should expect on January 14
- A one-hour-to-90-minute digital presentation.
- Back-to-back trailers and reveals with no confirmed title order yet.
- Games from studios of varying sizes.
- Projects tied to 2027 launches, Early Access, version 1.0 releases or major content updates.
- More interviews and written coverage after the main stream.
There is no announced ticket, physical edition, required viewing device or other accessory for the event. It is a digital broadcast, and the currently available announcement provides no product tied specifically to the showcase.
