What does the Anniversary Edition include?
The package contains the base game, six official add-ons, and more than 150 Creation Club items, according to Bethesda. The six add-ons listed in its launch FAQ are:

Does the Creations menu require Anniversary Edition?
No. Bethesda said the November 10 update would add the Creations menu to all versions of Fallout 4, so owners of earlier versions can access it without buying the Anniversary Edition. In Bethesda’s words, “On November 10, an update will go live that will add the Creations menu to all versions of Fallout 4.” The menu provides a way to browse and download content; its availability is separate from buying the Anniversary package. The catalog includes both free Creations and items sold for Creation Credits. Bethesda notes that availability can vary by region, game, and platform, so the menu’s presence does not mean every listing is available to every player.

What was the mod warning, and will existing mods still work?
The official announcement, launch article, purchase guidance, and patch-notes page cited here do not establish the exact wording or scope of the pre-release mod warning referenced in the original headline. They do not identify which mod types might be affected or prescribe a specific action for players. That means it would be inaccurate to present a particular compatibility warning or claim that all existing mods will—or will not—continue working.
For later changes, Bethesda’s Fallout 4 patch notes document specific fixes and a storage expansion dated May 27, 2026. That update had platform-specific consequences: installed Creations were cleared on Xbox at first launch, PS5 Creations were preserved, and PS4 storage had separate caveats. These later notes describe that update, not a universal rule about mod compatibility at the Anniversary Edition launch.
