Steam’s listing showed 92% positive from 25,747 English-language user reviews overall and 96% positive from 326 reviews in the last 30 days when accessed on October 8, 2026. These are dynamic Steam user-review figures, not critic scores; the recent-review percentage reflects a much smaller sample. They point to favorable player sentiment, but do not establish that every player will enjoy the game or explain the reasons behind individual reviews. Check Steam’s listing for the current figures.

A useful way to judge whether that positive reception applies to you is to consider the game’s pace and focus. It is a fit for players who enjoy managing equipment, planning farm work, and gradually expanding operations. If you want a tightly directed campaign or action-driven progression, the game’s simulation-first structure may be less appealing.
Which edition should you buy?
Choose by the maps and activities you want, the platform you play on, and what you already own. GIANTS’ press material describes the Platinum Edition as the base game combined with the Platinum Expansion; Premium Edition includes the base game, both named expansions, six maps, and seven official content packs. Steam lists Base, Platinum, and Premium purchase options, but prices and availability can vary by platform and region. Compare the current listing with your library before buying so you do not pay again for content you already own.

For a first purchase, Premium is the most complete bundle described by GIANTS. Platinum is the more targeted choice if Silverrun Forest and forestry are the draw; the base game is the straightforward option if you want to start with the core simulation. Check the contents you already own and the current regional listing before choosing.
