EA Sports FC 27 is first in Alinea Analytics’ reported cross-platform revenue estimate for 2026, with an estimated $714.1 million across Steam, Xbox and PlayStation. Resident Evil Requiem is second at $558 million, followed by Forza Horizon 6 at $534.3 million. The figures were reported by ixbt.games on October 7, 2026; they are estimates, not audited publisher revenue or copies sold, and the ranking is not final for the year.
What the reported 2026 ranking says
In the ranking attributed to Alinea Analytics and published by ixbt.games on October 7, EA Sports FC 27 leads the reported cross-platform revenue estimates. The three reported positions are:
| Rank | Game | Estimated revenue | Reported scope |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | EA Sports FC 27 | $714.1 million | Steam, Xbox and PlayStation |
| 2 | Resident Evil Requiem | $558 million | Steam, Xbox and PlayStation |
| 3 | Forza Horizon 6 | $534.3 million | Steam, Xbox and PlayStation |
The figures and platform scope come from ixbt.games’ October 7 report, which attributes the estimates to Alinea Analytics. The report does not provide underlying methodology, confidence intervals or platform-by-platform totals, so the figures should be treated as attributed analyst estimates rather than verified financial disclosures.
Revenue is not the same as copies sold
“Highest-grossing” describes revenue, while “best-selling” usually refers to units sold. A game can lead a revenue ranking without leading a sales-by-units chart: prices, editions, bundles, discounts, platform mix and the period measured can all affect how the two rankings compare. The reported figures do not establish how those factors were handled.

For a different measure and market, Quartz reported that Circana’s US year-to-date game-sales chart through July put Resident Evil Requiem first by sales. That does not directly contradict the Alinea-attributed ranking: one is a US sales chart with a July cutoff, while the other is a reported cross-platform revenue estimate. Quartz’s report on the Circana chart describes its scope.
Resident Evil Requiem’s unit-sales milestones
Capcom announced on March 16, 2026 that Resident Evil Requiem had exceeded 6 million worldwide units sold, then the fastest a title in the series had reached that milestone. Capcom’s release gives the game’s launch date as February 27, 2026 and lists PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch 2 and PC among its platforms. Capcom’s announcement concerns unit sales, not revenue.

A later milestone reported by Gematsu says sales had exceeded 8.06 million units by July 28, 2026. That is also a units-sold figure and should not be compared directly with the $558 million revenue estimate. Gematsu’s July update reports the milestone.
Why the ranking could change
The October 7 report explicitly says the ranking is not final. Later releases and new sales before the end of 2026 could change the year-end order. Its figures therefore describe a ranking at the time of reporting, not a final annual result. The ixbt.games report carries that caveat.

Related platform context
Capcom says the Resident Evil series had exceeded 183 million cumulative game sales as of December 31, 2025. That is a franchise-wide total, not a sales figure for Resident Evil Requiem. Capcom’s release also identifies Requiem as a survival-horror game with two protagonists.
