There are 69 Banandium Gems in Donkey Kong Bananza’s Feast Layer: 57 in SL1400 and 12 in SL1401. Use the numbered checklist below to track them by sublayer. It distinguishes exploration finds from challenge and battle rewards, Growtone purchases, and the one post-credit gem.
Banandium Gems improve DK’s abilities, and five gems grant one Skill Point, according to Nintendo Life’s game-wide location guide. Feast Layer is SL1400 in the game-wide layer list; the layer-specific checklist also includes SL1401. The locations and names below follow Nintendo Life’s Feast Layer guide, published July 20, 2025. Its maps can help orient you when a landmark is hard to identify.

SL1400 Banandium Gems (1–57)
- Free Fallin’ to the Feast Layer! If you arrive via Groove Layer, return to Radiance Layer, unlock the Void Co. seal on SL1204, and dive down the tunnel. The gem is at the bottom.
- A Slime-Slathered Treat. In the muck beside the Mine Gate Market Warp Gong.
- Wrecked by Freestyle Bananzas. Beat the Freestyle Bananzas: City Smash Challenge Ruins near the Mane Gate Market checkpoint within the time limit.
- Fast-Paced Freestyle Bananzas. Destroy the building with at least 20 seconds remaining.
- Lost and Found under the Building. Use the back punch bag to raise the platform, then drop beneath it.
- Battle: Bouncy Beatings. In the Antickoid x5 Battle Ruins in the Mane Gate Market stockroom.
- Snacking from the Stockroom. Behind a muck wall in the storeroom below Mane Gate Market.
- A Banana among Friends. On a lower platform in the small restaurant near the Mane Gate Market Warp Gong.
- Battle: Wallopoid Warfare. In the Wallopoid x10 Battle Ruins, to the left as you pass through Mane Gate.
- A Soda-Infused Banana. Inside the soda tank beside the Feast Growtone.
- The Feast Growtone. Feed the Growtone 500 Gold.
- The Hungry Feast Growtone. Feed the Growtone 2,500 Gold.
- The Sated Feast Growtone. Feed the Growtone 5,000 Gold.
- A Secret Salty Snack. In the first vertical salt wall inside the Steady Flow of Salt Challenge Ruins, on the right wall of Fried Pride Plaza.
- Slinging the Salt. At the top of the first salt wall.
- Melting the Muck. Complete the Challenge Course.
- Steamed-and-Salted Banana. On Fried Pride Plaza’s outer wall near the theme park entrance.
- At a Grate Height. Climb inside Grater-Go-Round to its roof.
- ’Round the Grater-Go-Round! Climb the structure and clear the muck at the top to open a route down the middle.
- Through the Mauling Walls. The first gem is halfway through The Trap-Filled Towers Challenge Ruins by the Kingly Swings checkpoint.
- A Wall All Alone. Continue from the first gem, climb around the wall, break through the sandy Wallopoid, punch down to the secret area, and follow the climbing wall.
- Falling Mauling Walls. Complete the Challenge Ruins.
- Up High in a Sky Container. At Kingly Swings, throw salt at the muck-covered part of the upper pillar to reveal a nook.
- Swingin’ through Kingly Swings! Complete the Kingly Swings ride.
- Soda-Spout Clean Out. Clear muck from the soda tank spout by Kingly Swings.
- Battle: Muck on Parade. Have the Constructone north of the Kingly Swings checkpoint open the Muckoid x4 Battle Ruins.
- Shifty Smash: Over the Oil Lake. Complete the Shifty Smash beside the giant lion statue using Elephant Bananza.
- Feast Smashin’ Stats. Smash 30,000m of Salt in the layer, then speak to Smashintone beside the giant lion statue.
- Feast Quiz Master. Find Quiztone beside the giant lion statue and answer correctly.
- Feast Fragmentone Recovery. Find Fragmentone beneath the giant lion statue and return one fragment.
- Feast Fragmentone Restoration. Return the other two fragments.
- Banana by a Greasy River. Clear a muck wall on the oil river behind the giant lion statue’s tail.
- Center of the Oil Stream. Remove the Void Terravoider from that oil river.
- Battle: Mine-Cart Muck. Enter the Muckoid x13 Battle Ruins by the giant lion statue’s back foot.
- Fryin’ at Ferocious Fryhouse! Beat the Mad Mixer at Ferocious Fryhouse.
- Feast Hide-and-Seek. Use the ladder through the grass near the Ferocious Fryhouse checkpoint and locate four Fractones below.
- Roarcoaster Rest Stop. Unlock the Branching-Track Roarcoaster Challenge Ruins with the Constructone by the checkpoint. The first gem is at the first coaster’s end.
- Behind a Roaring Waterfall. Hit the hidden flip switch behind the waterfall and take the right rail.
- A Roaring Finish. Finish the Roarcoaster.
- Unmucking the Works. Follow the blue pipe from the soda pool near Ferocious Fryhouse, use salt to unblock its bottom, then collect the gem after the pipe drains.
- Fries on the Side. Jump from Royal Oil Cruise onto floating fries and clear the muck wall with salt.
- The Duct Inspector’s Reward. Follow the ceiling air vents around the central blue structure on Royal Oil Cruise.
- Floating on a Royal Oil Cruise! Ride Royal Oil Cruise to the end.
- The Salt’s Last Stop. At the cruise’s end, take the right path instead of the ladder and use the salt float into the final tunnel.
- Eating the Lion’s Share. In a stone lion’s mouth on the layer’s east side; take the left track from Mane Gate Station.
- Shifty Smash: Huge Monument. Complete the challenge behind Refinery Getaway near the Royal Oil Cruise entrance.
- Danger Doubling Back. Break through the bricked doorway left of the cruise entrance, remove the Terravoider, then retrace the route to the gem near the start.
- Battle: Labyrinth Lurkers. Enter the Wallopoid x5 Battle Ruins on the left of the main route from Royal Oil Cruise.
- Triple-Gated Banana. Break through muck at To-Go Box Station on the mine-cart track.
- Shifty Smash: Out of the Box. Complete the challenge on the Lunch-Break Station platform.
- Up through the Layer of Muck. At Umbrella Straw Station, leave the mine cart, clear muck with the salt Fractone, and use Snaka Bananza to reach the pillar top.
- Folded into the Patty. At the bottom of the burger patty.
- Order Up at the Banana Burger! Build the Banana Burger, climb to the top, and collect the gem beside the Void lock.
- Under the Lion’s Mane. Walk inside the big wheel to its bottom.
- A Snack with a View. Clear the muck-covered Feral Wheel carriage and collect the gem inside.
- Crowning the Monarch. On the giant lion statue’s head.
- Feast Chip Exchange. Exchange chips at any Chip Exchange point in the layer.
SL1401 Banandium Gems (58–69)
- Muckin’ Up Cat-Scratch Kitchen! Enter SL1401.
- Battle: Ducking the Muck Wall. In the Muckoid x2 Battle Course left of the layer’s starting point.
- Stuck in the Gutter. Use the first Muckoids to melt the floor drain, then punch through the Melty Cheese wall behind it.
- Cranky’s Feast Rant. In the salt storage room, punch through boxes to reveal a door. Cranky is behind a waterfall in the corridor.
- As Seen through the Grate. In a tunnel behind the waterfall just before salt storage.
- The Muck’s Private Stash. Behind the right Muckoids on the salt room wall.
- Resist the Tide of Walls. The first gem is along the first path in Waves of Walls Challenge Ruins, left of the Waste-Oil Container checkpoint.
- Bouncing Tall off a Wall. Stand on the drain that creates walls and use Charge Jump to reach the ceiling frame.
- Strike Back against the Walls. Finish the Challenge Course.
- Melt through the Metal Bridge. Use Muckoids in Waste-Oil Container to melt the bridge section; use Hand Slap to locate the spot.
- Stuck in the Muck. At the end of Waste-Oil Container, hidden under muck behind the salt Hand Slap pile.
- Decked Out in Matching Clothes. This is a post-credit gem. Wear Burn-Proof Britches and Yellow Tempest Coat, then talk to Glamtone near the sinkhole.
What to leave until later
The Growtone requires three separate Gold payments, listed at entries 11–13. The final checklist item is explicitly post-credit, so it cannot be collected until after the credits. For the rest, use the named challenge, battle, checkpoint, and landmark labels to match each entry to the map in the linked layer guide.
