What is FEROCIOUS?
FEROCIOUS is a single-player survival FPS listed for Windows PC on Steam. The store description places the player on an uncharted island with limited resources, dangerous terrain, mercenaries and dinosaurs. It advertises exploration, crafting weapons and gear, and combat against both wildlife and human enemies, as well as mechs.
Controlling dinosaurs is the game’s distinctive advertised feature: Steam says they can be directed to attack enemies, clear paths or help get past guarded areas. How the gameplay is described
The central mix is first-person combat and survival on an island where predators, mercenaries and hostile terrain can complicate exploration. The store listing highlights resource limits, crafting and the use of dinosaurs as more than targets. In launch-day coverage dated December 4, 2025, PC Gamer described dinosaur taming, resource gathering, mechsuits and weapon customization, including attachments such as stocks, lasers, muzzle devices and optics.

Content advisory and player reviews
Steam’s mature-content notice says the game may contain “Blood and gore, dark unsettling atmosphere, horror elements.” Players sensitive to gore or horror should consider that advisory before buying.

Post-launch updates
Steam Community update history records Patch 1.04 on December 12, 2025, which added Xbox and PlayStation controller support, remappable controls and enemy AI improvements. Later entries include controller fixes and other gameplay and bug fixes.
