M11S is AAC Heavyweight M3 (Savage), where The Tyrant tests weapon recognition, coordinated movement, and clean assignments across a changing arena. Identify each Trophy Weapon before moving, follow the six-weapon sequence in spawn order, and agree on clocks, light-party splits, and waymarks before the pull. The encounter is Dawntrail Patch 7.4 content, as listed by Square Enix; the official duty listing names it AAC Heavyweight M3 (Savage) on the Lodestone.
Before the pull: agree on positions and conventions
The Tyrant is fought on a square arena with lethal edges. Later mechanics break the floor into separated platforms, so a movement plan that works early may not be safe later. A common preparation framework is two light parties, consistent clock positions, and agreed assignments for supports and DPS. Confirm which waymark layout the group will use: different guides and parties may use different conventions, and mixing them can send players to incompatible spots. The Icy Veins M3 Savage guide covers a practical strategy framework; the Thaliak M11S timeline documents event order but identifies its strategy coverage as incomplete. Treat neither a diagram nor one party’s callouts as a universal official resolution.
- Set clock positions and light-party membership before entering.
- Choose one waymark layout and ensure everyone understands its labels.
- Assign tower soaks, portal tether responsibilities, and any role-specific movement in advance.
Opening: Crown of Arcadia and Trophy Weapons
Crown of Arcadia
The opening raidwide, Crown of Arcadia, is a party-wide damage check. Heal and mitigate it as a group, then be ready to read the weapon cue rather than settling into a fixed position.
Read the weapon before choosing a safe spot
Trophy Weapons use three shapes, each signaling a different danger. The mechanic response depends on the weapon shown, so identify it and move to the safe area your group agreed on:

- Adventure awaits you beyond the horizon in FINAL FANTASY XIV.
- This product is a digital 60-Day Game Time Card for FINAL FANTASY XIV Online. It serves as a payment option that allows players to add 60 days of game time to their FFXIV account at the Standard subscription rate, subject to account limits. Both the game and game time are required to play.
- This product can be redeemed on service accounts registered with the Windows, Mac, PlayStation, or Steam versions of FINAL FANTASY XIV Online. However, it cannot be redeemed on service accounts that have only the XBOX or Nintendo Switch 2 versions registered.
- Sword: expect line attacks and party splits. Spread or group according to the cast and your assigned party position; do not assume a stack is safe merely because the weapon is familiar.
- Axe: avoid the close-range danger and resolve the required stack together. The proximity of the danger makes late movement risky.
- Scythe: use the donut-shaped safe zone while accounting for player-targeted cones. Keep targeted cones aimed away from other players and avoid crossing through the group.
These attacks can inflict vulnerability when players take avoidable hits. The specialist guide’s mechanic descriptions are useful for recognizing the cues, but groups should execute using the same waymarks and assignments throughout.
Ultimate Trophy Weapons: track all six spawns
In the Ultimate Trophy Weapons sequence, six weapons spawn and resolve in spawn order. Do not treat each hit as an unrelated surprise: note the first two spawns, then continue following the rotational sequence. The side on which the first weapon appears determines the subsequent direction, according to the event sequence in the Thaliak timeline. Tracking order and direction lets the party move with a plan instead of reacting after each resolution.
Fire transition and portal attacks
Great Wall of Fire and Orbital Omen
The fight shifts into fire-themed attacks after the weapon sections. Great Wall of Fire and Orbital Omen are key transition mechanics identified in the Icy Veins guide. Watch the cast and the arena presentation, then move to the safe area assigned by your group; avoid drifting into the next mechanic’s position before the current one resolves.
Boss cleaves combined with portal-fired lines
Later patterns combine the boss’s cleave with lines fired from portals. Read both sources of danger: the boss’s cast indicates the cleave, while portal placement and firing direction determine the line attacks. Move according to the specific arrangement rather than memorizing one portal solution. The timeline records multiple portal arrangements and movement sequences, so a safe spot for one pattern is not a rule for every pattern.

1Scan for outdated or missing drivers - takes under a minute2Clear out junk files and repair common Windows errors3Fix the driver behind crashes, sound loss and screen glitchesFlatliner and the divided arena
Flatliner knocks players away as the arena divides into two platforms. Start from a position that lets knockback carry you onto safe floor, and be prepared for the new split layout rather than continuing to use the original arena’s clock positions blindly. Losing footing is fatal; resolve the knockback first, then move to the assignment needed on your platform.
Majestic Meteor: towers, tethers, and portal lines
Majestic Meteor layers several jobs at once: towers need two-player soaks, portal tethers stretch east and west, and north/south portal lines make part of each platform unsafe. Separate those responsibilities before the mechanic begins.
- Handle portal tethers: assigned players take the east/west tethers and establish the required distance without dragging danger through the party.
- Soak towers: send the assigned pairs to their towers; each tower requires two players.
- Respect portal lines: check the north/south lines and keep clear of the unsafe section on your platform while preserving the tower and tether assignments.
- Prepare for follow-up hits: expect simultaneous targeted attacks and delayed AoEs after the initial placements. Finish your assigned job, then reposition rather than standing still to preserve damage.
Missing a tower or misreading a portal can cause severe party damage. Call assignments clearly and prioritize completing them over greed.

The final Ecliptic Stampede sequence includes proximity damage, repeated targeted or baited AoEs, towers, and portal tethers. Keep the group moving through the sequence in its assigned order: account for proximity first, place or evade each targeted attack as assigned, then complete tower and tether jobs without cutting across another player’s path. Maintain damage uptime only when it does not compromise a mechanic assignment; plan offensive cooldowns around the party’s agreed damage windows.

Enrage and damage expectations
The Icy Veins guide estimates an enrage at about 11 minutes and roughly 233,309 raid DPS. These are guide estimates, not an official immutable tuning requirement. Gear, patch adjustments, party composition, and execution affect the practical damage check, so use the figures as a rough benchmark rather than a guarantee that a particular group will clear or fail.
