This guide covers Monster Hunter Rise: Sunbreak. For a High Rank Anjanath Gem, create as many distinct reward opportunities as you can: break Anjanath’s head, sever and carve its tail, then capture it if your hunt allows. Kiranico lists a 3% chance for each of those reward entries, plus a 2% chance per target-reward entry. These are per-entry chances—not the odds that a whole hunt will produce a gem.
How do you farm an Anjanath Gem in High Rank?
Choose a High Rank quest with Anjanath as a target. During the hunt, break its head and sever its tail. Carve the tail, then capture Anjanath at the end to receive capture rewards. Kiranico’s Monster Hunter Rise: Sunbreak item table lists the following High Rank chances:

These actions seek several different reward opportunities in one hunt; none guarantees a gem. The table gives the chance for an individual reward entry, not a total hunt probability. The number of target-reward entries and the other rewards you obtain affect the overall chance, so a precise whole-hunt percentage would require specifying those reward rolls.
High Rank and Master Rank have different rates
Do not apply the High Rank table to Master Rank. Kiranico lists these Master Rank Anjanath Gem chances in Rise: Sunbreak:

Hunters using the new facilities at Elgado Outpost will also be able to master all-new combat options and Wirebug techniques for all weapon types. - New Locales - Featuring all-new maps with no loading times such as the newly revealed Citadel locale, the continuous gameplay ensures that players will remain on their quests as soon as the hunt begins, without transitions between areas.
- Hunting Options - Play solo, or join up to three other hunters in online co-op play on Nintendo Switch or PC. The Nintendo Switch system also allows for hunting anywhere, anytime and with anyone via a local connection!

“Anjanath Gem” does not have one universal reward table across the series. For example, Kiranico’s Monster Hunter World: Iceborne item table lists different High Rank chances, including 3% for a tail carve, 3% for breaking Anjanath’s head, and 2% for a body carve or capture. It also has separate investigation rewards and Master Rank paths. Confirm the game and rank before using a rate or farming route; the figures above are specifically for Rise: Sunbreak.
