Accept the wish at Songclave’s wishwall, follow its markers through the Choral Chambers to the newly opened room in High Halls, and defeat the Sentinel to earn Reserve Bind.
Why Final Audience is not appearing
Final Audience is a Wayfarer Wish on the Songclave wishwall. Its unlock requirements are cumulative; activating the Second Sentinel alone is not enough. Check each condition below if the wish is missing.
- Cogheart: Find all three Cogheart Pieces, assemble the Cogheart, and use it to reactivate the Second Sentinel in Cogwork Core.
- Sentinel encounters: Meet the active Sentinel at least twice within the Citadel. If you have acquired the Everbloom, one meeting is sufficient.
- Conductor’s Melody: Learn the melody.
- Songclave wishes: Complete at least two wishes, one of which must be Building Up Songclave.
These prerequisites are listed on the Final Audience page and corroborated by the Second Sentinel page.
Find the Cogheart Pieces and assemble the Cogheart
Each Cogheart Piece is earned by repeating a bell sequence. The three pieces are in the Choral Chambers, Whispering Vaults, and Memorium; the sequences below follow the order listed on the Cogheart page.

After collecting all three pieces, assemble the Cogheart and take it to Cogwork Core to reactivate the Second Sentinel. The Cogheart is an unlock requirement, not the item that starts the wish by itself.
Accept and track the wish
- Once every prerequisite is satisfied, return to Songclave and accept Final Audience from the wishwall.
- Follow the wish pins left near Songclave. Interact with the markers as you find them; they trace a route through the Choral Chambers.
- Continue to the newly opened room in High Halls. The Second Sentinel’s battle room is in the southeast of the region, but use the wish markers to navigate rather than relying on that broad location description alone.
- Speak to the Sentinel and defeat it. Victory completes the wish.
The quest description instructs you to “Track the Second Sentinel by their markers left near Songclave.” The Sentinel’s request says: “Attend this Sentinel’s request, Hunter in Red. Meet in halls high, the chamber of its fellows. The way shall be marked.”

Prepare for the Second Sentinel fight
The Hollow Knight Wiki describes the Sentinel as a fast, mobile opponent with scissor-blade attacks, aerial lunges, wind projectiles, spinning movement, and a parry-and-riposte stance. Watch for the parry: when the Sentinel raises it at close range, attacking can trigger a counter. Wait for a safe opening instead of pressing attacks into the stance.
The Hollow Knight Wiki lists 800 health and a stagger threshold of 15 hits for the Second Sentinel. These are community-wiki gameplay values, not an official developer-published combat table. Its available fight information does not establish a best crest, tool setup, or guaranteed build for this encounter.

Final Audience reward
Defeating the Second Sentinel completes Final Audience and awards the Reserve Bind tool. Reserve Bind is the in-game quest reward.
