When did Final Fantasy Pixel Remaster come to Xbox?
Square Enix released the series on Xbox Series X|S and Windows PC on September 26, 2024. The launch was digital; Square Enix’s announcement describes individual game purchases and a six-game bundle, not a physical Xbox edition. Square Enix’s launch announcement has the release details.

Are all six Pixel Remasters on Xbox?
Yes. The collection covers FINAL FANTASY I, II, III, IV, V and VI—the first six numbered games in the series. The Xbox Store’s FINAL FANTASY listing identifies the games included in the bundle.
Can you buy the games separately?
Yes. Square Enix offers the games individually as well as in the FINAL FANTASY I–VI BUNDLE. Choose individual purchases if you only want particular entries; the bundle is the format for getting all six together. Check your local Xbox Store for current availability and pricing, which may vary by region and change over time.

What changes in the Pixel Remasters?
Square Enix describes the games as remasters based on the original Nintendo and Super Nintendo versions. The publisher says the stories are unchanged, while the graphics, music, interface and balance have been updated. Square Enix’s Pixel Remaster FAQ says, “No changes have been made to the stories.”
Updated pixel art and music
The graphics were redrawn in an updated 2D pixel-art style, including playable-character art redrawn by Kazuko Shibuya. The music has new arrangements overseen by original composer Nobuo Uematsu, and Square Enix’s sound team recreated the sound effects.

Gallery and music player
Each game includes a bestiary, illustration gallery and music player. Square Enix says most music and art can be browsed from the start rather than unlocked through progress.

What should you check before buying?
The Xbox Store listing is localized to the United States, so its displayed prices and subscription details are not a reliable guide to every region or a permanent offer. Open the listing in your regional store to confirm the current price and terms for the individual game or bundle.
