Yes. The game includes a classic version that recreates the 1997 release’s graphics and gameplay, but uses the War of the Lions translation. That means “classic” refers to its presentation and gameplay, not to a return to the original English script. Square Enix’s Francis Santos described it as bringing together the original’s graphics and gameplay with the later translation in a PlayStation Blog post.

Square Enix announced September 30, 2025 as the release date. Because that date has passed, it should not be described as an upcoming launch. The publisher’s Gamescom news item reiterated the date and platform list. It also gives the North American ESRB rating as T (Teen).
