GameSpot’s roundup reported a 93 Metascore based on 115 reviews at the time of its roundup. The figures reflect different snapshots and should not be combined or described as the current score.

Not on their own. Different platform pages can draw on different review pools, and a score comparison does not establish which version has better image quality or performance. Square Enix says the PC release received enhancements, but that statement alone does not establish frame-rate, visual-quality, or performance results against PS5. Choose between versions using current, platform-specific technical testing and the features that matter to you.
What kind of game is Rebirth in the remake project?
Final Fantasy VII Rebirth is part of Square Enix’s three-title reimagining of the original Final Fantasy VII, rather than a single-game remake intended to cover the whole original story.
