Those are community-tracked results, not a Square Enix-issued race record. The available official game materials establish the duty’s release and rules, but do not name a world-first team or publish an official clear time.
When did the race begin, and how long did it last?
Square Enix announced that Patch 7.11 would arrive on Tuesday, November 26, 2024. The patch introduced Futures Rewritten (Ultimate), but the reported 2-day, 21-hour, and 41-minute duration comes from the community wiki rather than an official Square Enix statistic. The listed clear timestamp is November 28 at 23:41 PST, or November 29 at 07:41 UTC.

Was Kindred’s world first officially verified?
Not in the official materials available for this race. Square Enix has described Ultimate world-first recognition as unofficial. In a Lodestone notice concerning The Omega Protocol (Ultimate), the company said: “Although unofficial, I am of course apprised of the race to the World First clear, and we have shown our support for everyone in the community by sharing information on the first clears once multiple clear teams came forth, and exact clear times had been confirmed.”
Rank #3
- A new adventure awaits in Norvrandt
- New jobs, including gun breaker and dancer
- New playable races: Viera and Hrothgar
- Level cap increase from 70 to 80
- New cities to explore: The Crystarium and Eulmore
That statement explains Square Enix’s general approach to Ultimate race reporting; it is historical context about The Omega Protocol, not an adjudication of Futures Rewritten. The Kindred result and its timing should therefore remain attributed to community tracking, not described as a result officially crowned by Square Enix.
