Find it in Shadow Keep’s Church District, behind the large statue after draining the area’s water. It requires Strength 8 and Faith 23.
What does Fire Knight’s Seal do?
The seal is the casting tool associated with Messmer’s Fire Knights. Its in-game description, reproduced by Elden Ring Wiki, says it enhances Messmer’s fire incantations and describes the emblem of Messmer’s army. The effect is specific to Messmer’s Flame Incantations; it does not boost fire damage or all fire incantations generally.
Eldenpedia reports a 15% increase to the Attack Power of Messmer’s Flame Incantations when using one seal, or 32.25% when holding one in each hand. These are database-reported values for game version 1.12, not figures independently tested here. The effect makes the seal worth considering for a build centered on those incantations, while its usefulness depends on whether you meet the Faith requirement and want to dedicate a hand or both hands to the seal. Eldenpedia’s item entry provides the reported values.
Where to find Fire Knight’s Seal
- Reach the Church District in Shadow Keep.
- Drain the water in the district to expose the church area.
- Enter the church and look behind the large statue for the seal. The area is guarded, so be prepared to deal with its enemies.

Gamer Guides lists both requirements; Eldenpedia also lists Faith 23. Before building around the seal, check how its scaling performs at your Faith level and whether the incantations you use are Messmer-specific. A bonus limited to one incantation family is not a general-purpose fire boost.

No. Starforged also lists a physical collectible named Fire Knight’s Seal. Its seller describes it as an alloy item licensed by Bandai Namco Entertainment Inc., with stated dimensions of 95.5 mm high by 36.6 mm wide and an approximate weight of 42.5 g. Those are seller-provided product specifications, not independently verified measurements; the collectible is merchandise, not the in-game Sacred Seal.
