Xbox’s first Game Pass lineup announcement of 2026, published January 6, scheduled Star Wars Outlaws for January 13 and Resident Evil Village for January 20. The wave also included eight other games, while five titles were set to leave the service on January 15. These are dates and plan labels from Xbox’s historical announcement, not confirmation of what is in the catalog today.
When Star Wars Outlaws and Resident Evil Village were announced for Game Pass
Xbox Wire’s January 6, 2026 announcement gave the two headline games different release dates, platform labels and eligible plans:
| Game | Announced arrival date | Platforms listed by Xbox | Plans listed by Xbox |
|---|---|---|---|
| Star Wars Outlaws | January 13, 2026 | Cloud, PC, Xbox Series X|S | Game Pass Ultimate, PC Game Pass |
| Resident Evil Village | January 20, 2026 | Cloud, Console, PC | Game Pass Ultimate, Game Pass Premium, PC Game Pass |
The platform and plan labels above reproduce Xbox’s announcement; they should not be read as meaning either game was available on every device or tier in the same way. Neither title carried the announcement’s “Handheld” designation, which Xbox says identifies games optimized for handheld play. Xbox Wire’s full announcement has the individual details.
