Fisch version 1.08, the Ancient Isles update, launched on November 30, 2024. Its release added two bestiaries, 12 rods, 39 fish, eight mutations, rod crafting, new weather events, and other content. This is a launch-history guide: later updates have followed, so the 2024 list does not establish what remains available or works the same way in Fisch today.
When did the Ancient Isles update release?
The Official Fisch Wiki version history dates version 1.08 to November 30, 2024, and identifies it as the Ancient Isles update. A third-party changelog, FischScript, reports a release time of 1:00 PM UTC that day; the time comes from that transcription, not a verified developer announcement. What was added in the Ancient Isles update?
FischScript’s version 1.08 entry describes a broad content release. The categories and counts below reflect that third-party changelog; it does not provide a complete list of item names or bug fixes.
| Category | Launch additions listed |
|---|---|
| Bestiaries | Two: Ancient Isles and Ancient Archives. |
| Rods and crafting | 12 new rods—10 craftable and two purchasable—and a rod-crafting mechanic. The changelog masks the purchasable rod names as “???”. |
| Fish and mutations | 39 new fish and eight new mutations. |
| Weather and events | Eclipse and Meteor Strike weather events, plus a limited-time Megalodon event. |
| Other items | An archaeological boat, two new totems, Shark Head bait, and five bobbers. The changelog labels two bobbers as bestiary bobbers and three as limited, but leaves their names—and the totem names—as “???”. |
| Map and quality of life | Ziplines around the map, additional optimization settings, several new titles, and a fanart board at Moosewood. The entry also mentions quality-of-life changes and bug fixes without itemizing them. |
Because the transcription leaves some names unresolved, those items cannot be identified reliably from this list. It is a launch overview, not confirmation of present-day availability or requirements. FischScript version 1.08 changelog

What did the Ancient Isles bestiaries reward?
The visible Official Fisch Wiki result reports an Amber Bobber for completing the Ancient Isles Bestiary and an Ancient Book Bobber for completing the Ancient Archives Bestiary. That result does not establish whether the requirements or rewards have changed since launch. Official Fisch Wiki: Ancient Archives
How do you get to Ancient Isle?
The Official Fisch Wiki describes Ancient Isle as far east in the First Sea, between Snowcap Island and Mushgrove Swamp. Its search-result snippet warns that the surrounding water can damage and sink boats, and recommends a fast boat. Check current in-game navigation and conditions before setting out; the route advice is reported by the wiki and may not reflect later changes. Official Fisch Wiki: Ancient Isle

Does the 2024 patch list describe the current game?
No. Version 1.08 is a historical release entry, not a live-game status report. A separate update-history page records later Fisch updates through June 20, 2026; that chronology shows the game continued to change, but does not confirm whether any particular 1.08 item, event, route, or mechanic is still available today.
