To get Song of the Deep in Fisch, accept Captain Ahab’s quest in Moosewood, then catch and return either a Moby or Humpback Whale. The repeatable quest rewards one Song of the Deep relic and the Moby Bobber.
Use the relic at the Keeper’s Altar while holding it and with your target rod equipped to guarantee the Blessed Song enchantment. Blessed Song currently grants +20% Progress Speed and +20% True Progress Speed.

How to get Song of the Deep
- Travel to Moosewood.
- Find Captain Ahab near the Shipwright. His approximate coordinates are
X: 440.8, Y: 135.2, Z: 358.2. - Accept his whale quest before catching the required fish.
- Catch either Moby or a Humpback Whale.
- Return the qualifying whale to Captain Ahab.
Ahab gives you one Song of the Deep and The Moby Bobber. The quest is repeatable, making it the practical farming method for the relic. Community documentation also lists very rare alternative sources, including an approximately 0.16% Angler reward, a Personal Aquarium reward, and a 1/2,500 chance from the Rod of the Exalted One after its third mastery quest; these are not reliable substitutes for Ahab’s quest.
See the Captain Ahab quest details for the current reward information.

How to catch Moby
Moby appears in The Ocean during an active Whale Migration. Wait for the announcement:
“Whale Migration has begun”
Moby is a Secret fish with 1% Resilience, prefers Squid, and applies a severe -95% Progress Speed penalty while being reeled in.

Moby migration mechanics
- Whale Migration has a 20% chance to start when rain begins.
- The event lasts for up to 15 minutes.
- Two Blue Whales travel across the map, and a Moby may spawn with the migration.
- The route begins around the waters near Sunstone Island or Mushgrove Swamp.
- Current documentation describes Moby as having a 15% chance to replace a Blue Whale when caught.
For more detail, including current spawn and replacement information, see the Moby guide.
Ways to create more Moby opportunities
- Use Tempest Totems to force rain.
- Combine weather-changing totems when you need to control the weather cycle.
- Use Squid, Moby’s preferred bait.
- Luminous Larva can also catch Moby and offers a luck advantage over ordinary bait.
- Aurora Borealis, Rainbow, Frost Moon, Merlin’s luck, luck potions, Server Luck, and luck-boosting bait can improve your odds.
Moby is not automatically unavailable just because another player caught a Blue Whale. If Moby has not been depleted, it may remain catchable. Multiple players can also catch Moby if it is stalled while hooked.
How to catch Humpback Whale
Humpback Whale appears during a Humpback Whale Migration in The Ocean. Its listed conditions are:

A Humpback Whale Migration has a 20% chance to begin when clear weather starts and lasts up to 15 minutes. It does not follow a fixed route. The migration may begin near Ancient Isle, Lost Jungle, or Moosewood. Normally, one Humpback Whale spawns per migration, although multiple players may hook it at the same time.

How to use Song of the Deep for Blessed Song
Song of the Deep is a quest relic rather than a normal Enchant Relic. Its standard use guarantees Blessed Song; it does not roll a random enchantment.

Older guides may claim that Blessed Song grants +50% or +40% Progress Speed. Those values are outdated: version 1.78.2 changed the former +40% effect to the current +20% Progress Speed and +20% True Progress Speed. Version 1.21.0 also removed Song of the Deep’s former chance to apply Failed.
Do not confuse Blessed Song with Sanctified
The Statue of Sovereignty now has a separate Keeperbound and Sovereign-enchanting system. Song of the Deep behaves differently there from its normal altar use.
- Normal Keeper’s Altar: guarantees Blessed Song.
- Sovereign enchanting Quest pillar: Song of the Deep contributes 15% Power Level and can provide the Sanctified affix when the ritual succeeds.
The Quest pillar requires Keeper Level 4 and accepts Song of the Deep or an Invincible Relic. Sanctified provides +10% Progress Speed and +10% True Progress Speed as an affix; it is not the normal result of using Song of the Deep at the altar.
Do these 3 things before closing this tab:
1Repair Windows errors before they cause bigger problems2Fix the driver behind crashes, sound loss and screen glitches3Clear out junk files and repair common Windows errorsIf a rod is already Keeperbound, using a relic at the Keeper’s Altar charges that rod’s Power Level instead of applying another normal enchantment. Speak to the Keeper Warden with the rod to disable Keeperbound before attempting the ordinary Blessed Song enchantment.
Quick Recap
Common mistakes
- Only hunting Moby: Ahab currently accepts either Moby or Humpback Whale.
- Using a whale caught before accepting the quest: accept the quest first and catch a fresh qualifying whale.
- Expecting a random enchantment: Song of the Deep guarantees Blessed Song through the normal altar path.
- Trying during daytime: the normal Keeper’s Altar is active at night only, unless Enchant Anywhere applies.
- Expecting the old stats: current Blessed Song is +20% Progress Speed and +20% True Progress Speed.
- Confusing Sanctified with Blessed Song: Sanctified belongs to the separate Sovereign-enchanting affix system.
