It also includes combat-themed Outlaw Battle and Boss Battle modes. The base game is listed as download software on Nintendo’s reviewed store pages; the Expansion Pack is separate downloadable content that requires the base game.
How the game works
The game uses Joy-Con motion controls for punches during rhythm-style exercise sessions. Kenshiro and other Fist of the North Star characters act as instructors, giving the workouts a recognizable series theme alongside the boxing exercises. Nintendo’s descriptions explain the controls and features, but do not provide independent measurements of exercise intensity or health results.
Modes, music and customization
Outlaw Battle and Boss Battle
Outlaw Battle has players take down outlaws, while Boss Battle pits them against Kenshiro’s rivals, including Raoh. These modes give the workouts a combat framing; they do not change the basic premise of punching along with the game’s cues.
Soundtrack and outfits
Nintendo lists 20 songs in the base game, combining classic Fist of the North Star music with original character-themed tracks. Players can also change outfits.

Workout support features
Nintendo UK says the game retains an alarm and lets players exclude actions they find difficult. Those options can help tailor a routine, but the official product pages reviewed do not substantiate a particular calorie burn, weight-loss outcome or medical benefit.
What the Expansion Pack adds
The Expansion Pack is add-on content, not a standalone version: Nintendo says ownership of the base game is required. Its US listing gives a release date of December 5, 2023.

Nintendo Canada lists the game for Nintendo Switch, with TV and tabletop play and single-system support for one to two players. Its store page lists a 3.2 GB download, Imagineer as developer and publisher, and Nintendo Switch 2 compatibility as “Supported.” Store details can change and may differ by market, so check the listing for your region before purchase.
Release dates vary by regional listing: Nintendo UK gives January 3, 2023, while Nintendo Canada gives March 2, 2023. The UK language list includes Japanese, English, Spanish, French, German, Italian, Korean and Chinese; Canada’s list specifies Simplified and Traditional Chinese and does not list Japanese. Check your local storefront for the languages available in your market.

Digital or physical copy?
The Nintendo UK and Canada pages reviewed identify the base game as download software or a digital edition. Those listings do not establish whether a cartridge edition is available in every market. If you want a physical copy, verify availability with your local Nintendo store or retailer before buying.
