The developer’s October 1, 2026 roadmap said console cross-play was planned for late October, another free update with additional content for late November, and a new Official Championships Season for Q1 2027. Those are plans, not confirmation that the milestones have shipped. The game also has paid DLC covering contemporary seasons, cars, tracks, and licensed Formula E content.
What is the Formula Legends roadmap?
In its October 1, 2026 announcement, developer 3DClouds outlined four milestones. It did not give exact dates for the upcoming releases or identify the planned championship.

These dates and windows come from the developer’s official announcement feed. The same post teased a separate 3DClouds original-IP reveal for October 15, 2026; that was a studio announcement, not a Formula Legends update.
What has shipped in the latest update?
Steam multiplayer
Online multiplayer launched on Steam as a free update on September 18, 2026. Players can set up custom races and custom championships in public or private lobbies, configure lobby rules, and race with up to ten players. The developer says rankings are based on race performance.
#1 Best Overall
- Drive Through Time: slide into the cockpit of legendary cars spanning decades of motorsport history. 16 unique models inspired by creations from the 60's through to modern day.
- Iconic Circuits, Reimagined: race across 14 circuits inspired by historic racing locations, each evolving through the years. From sunsoaked yacht docks to sweeping elevations, these tracks blend nostalgia with a fresh twist.
- Master the Elements: rain-soaked asphalt, strategic pit stops, and changing eras demand more than just speed. Fine-tune your racecraft, from battery management to slipstreaming, and chase the perfect lap.
- Create and Compete: create your own custom races and championships, climb the global leaderboards in time attack.
Player-to-player collisions are disabled in online races. 3DClouds said unavoidable contact on short tracks with fast cars could make close racing frustrating. At launch, the developer also said steering wheels were not enabled for online multiplayer.
Console cross-play
At the October 1 roadmap update, multiplayer was live on Steam, while PlayStation and Xbox support with cross-play was still planned for late October. The announcement did not provide a final launch date, so console availability should not be treated as confirmed on the basis of that roadmap alone. See the developer’s multiplayer and roadmap announcements for updates.

What does the Legacy Edition include?
In a May 28, 2026 announcement, 3DClouds described the Formula Legends Legacy Edition as a boxed edition scheduled for June 4, including all DLC released up to that announcement. The announcement also said Update 1.6 added teams and drivers to the game at no additional cost and announced a first wave of console steering-wheel support for early June.
