¿Qué era Fortnite Ballistic?
Epic presentó Ballistic el 7 de diciembre de 2024 como un modo competitivo por rondas en primera persona para dos equipos de cinco. Su acceso anticipado estaba previsto para el 11 de diciembre de ese año. No permitía construir y, en su lanzamiento, ofrecía colas Ranked y Unranked. Epic Games anunció el modo y sus reglas iniciales.
¿Cómo se jugaba?
Atacantes contra defensores
Un equipo atacaba e intentaba colocar el Rift Point Device en uno de dos sitios; el otro defendía e intentaba evitar que se colocara o detonara. Tras seis rondas, los equipos cambiaban de lado. El primer equipo en ganar siete rondas se llevaba la partida, según las reglas anunciadas al lanzamiento.
Sin reapariciones y con rondas de objetivo
No había reapariciones durante una ronda: terminaba si el dispositivo detonaba o si uno de los equipos era eliminado por completo. Epic fijó en 45 segundos el tiempo de detonación después de colocar el dispositivo.

Armas y créditos
Al inicio de una partida, cada jugador recibía una Ranger Pistol y 800 créditos. Podía ganar más créditos durante el juego y gastarlos al comienzo de cada ronda en armas y objetos. Estas cifras y reglas corresponden al anuncio original de diciembre de 2024; no deben tomarse como características vigentes después de las actualizaciones ni tras la retirada del modo.
Cómo cambió durante el acceso anticipado
Ballistic recibió cambios después de su lanzamiento. En marzo de 2025, Epic documentó ajustes de balance y economía y anunció el mapa Hammer Fall, previsto para abril. En agosto de 2025, anunció la subametralladora Veiled Precision, el gadget Deployable Wall, cambios en mapas, ajustes de precisión y retroceso, y el reinicio de la temporada clasificatoria. Las notas oficiales de Fortnite reflejan esos momentos del desarrollo, pero no establecen qué contenido estaba activo justo antes de la retirada.

¿Fortnite Ballistic sigue disponible?
No. Epic confirmó que Ballistic fue retirado de Fortnite el 16 de abril de 2026: “Ballistic was removed from Fortnite on April 16, 2026.” La página de soporte de Epic también señala que las herramientas para crear juegos en primera persona siguen disponibles en UEFN. Eso no significa que Ballistic siga jugable. La ficha de Fortnite Ballistic en Epic Games Store lo marca como “Unavailable”; su descripción de FPS táctico 5 contra 5 en acceso anticipado es información de la ficha, no una indicación de disponibilidad actual.
