Yes—Fortnite’s Chapter 6, Season 3 was the Star Wars-themed GALACTIC BATTLE, which launched on May 2, 2025, with pilotable X-wings and TIE fighters, earnable lightsabers, and Force abilities. Its announced Battle Pass progression ended June 7, 2025, so this is a look back at the season, not a preview of upcoming content.
What was Fortnite: GALACTIC BATTLE?
Epic Games announced GALACTIC BATTLE as Fortnite Battle Royale’s first entirely Star Wars-themed season. It began May 2, 2025, and brought Star Wars characters, locations, weapons, vehicles, and a season-long narrative to the game. Epic’s April announcement described it as its largest Star Wars collaboration with Fortnite to that point. Epic’s season announcement and its April 29 announcement set out the original plans.
Which starfighters could players fly?
Players could pilot two familiar Star Wars ships: X-wings and Imperial TIE fighters. These were vehicles for taking to the skies, rather than items earned through lightsaber training. The season also introduced Star Wars-themed locations and released additional gameplay content over the course of its scheduled run. How did players get lightsabers and Force abilities?
Lightsabers were earned rather than found as ordinary loot: players could train with hologram characters or take a saber from another player. Training with hologram Rey awarded a Blue Lightsaber and Force Push; training with hologram Emperor Palpatine awarded a Red Lightsaber and Force Lightning. The season’s official descriptions also listed Force Pull among the abilities, with more abilities due to become learnable later in the season. Force Saber Throw was available from launch, according to the PlayStation.Blog announcement.

While wielding a lightsaber, players could deflect blaster bolts, sprint faster, double-jump, and avoid fall damage. Was there Star Wars content outside Battle Royale?
Yes. Epic and Disney also announced a Star Wars Watch Party island in Fortnite, where players could watch the first two episodes of Star Wars: Tales of the Underworld starting May 2, 2025, ahead of the series’ Disney+ premiere on May 4. What did the Battle Pass cost, and is the season still available?
At announcement, the premium Star Wars Battle Pass cost 1,000 V-Bucks or was available through Fortnite Crew; it also included free rewards. Those terms applied to the 2025 progression window, which ended June 7, 2025, Eastern Time, and should not be taken as a current offer.
