During Fortnite’s GALACTIC BATTLE event, the season’s main weapon pool was made up of Star Wars weapons, while regular Fortnite guns were vaulted. That did not mean every item players could find—such as healing or utility items—was Star Wars-themed. The change applied to the weapon pool, not the entire collection of match loot.
What “no normal guns” meant in Fortnite’s Star Wars season
Epic called GALACTIC BATTLE its first entirely Star Wars-themed Battle Royale season. It began on May 2, 2025. Contemporary coverage reported that Fortnite-original guns were vaulted in favor of a weapon pool made up of Star Wars weapons. In other words, the unusual part was the identity of the season’s weapons—not a claim that every chest or floor pickup contained a Star Wars item.
That distinction matters because “loot pool” can refer to all the items available in a match, including healing and utility gear. The reported all-Star-Wars change concerned weapons; Epic’s announcements do not establish that every non-weapon item was also replaced or themed around Star Wars.
Which Star Wars weapons arrived during GALACTIC BATTLE?
Epic’s rollout added weapons in stages, so the selection developed over the course of the event rather than arriving all at once.

GameSpot’s May 2025 coverage also reported that blasters could overheat when fired rapidly instead of using ammunition. That description is attributable to GameSpot’s account; Epic’s cited season announcements establish the weapon additions and schedule, but do not document that mechanic.

GALACTIC BATTLE was a limited Star Wars period within Chapter 6, Season 3, not the theme of the entire numbered season. Epic scheduled the Death Star Sabotage live narrative event for June 7, 2025, and said players could progress through the Star Wars Battle Pass until June 7 Eastern Time. The chapter’s season continued afterward under a different theme, so the Star Wars weapon-pool change should not be treated as a permanent Chapter 6 rule.
