What was Fortnite Chapter 6 Season 4 about?
Epic titled the season Shock ‘N Awesome. Its official overview, published August 6, 2025, described an Island overrun by bugs and introduced the O.X.R., an anti-bug military defense force. Epic wrote: “The Island is an absolute mess of goopy nests and egg sacs.” It also invited players to “stomp and smash the swarm with the O.X.R., the Island’s anti-bug military defense force.”

The confirmed setting and enemies give the clearest context for the pre-launch reports of insect-inspired cosmetics. The confirmed bug invasion
Epic named three enemy types: Swarmers, Bombers, and Queens. The season’s new locations included The Hive, O.X.R. HQ, and Ranger’s Ruin. These are confirmed parts of the season, rather than predictions made before release.

On July 29, 2025, Brent Koepp at VICE reported that dataminers had found 13 Chapter 6 Season 4 outfits in the game’s shop backend after an update. The reported names were:

What did Epic confirm after the leaks?
Epic’s official season overview confirmed a number of outfits, including UNSC Spartan, Yoo-mi, Agent Patch, Battle Gamer Mae, Lt. Ripp Slade, Onyx Winter, and Green Ranger. It also said Battle Pass holders could unlock the Dino Megazord outfit by completing quests beginning September 16, 2025.

Did the season include “alien powers”?
“Alien powers” is not established as an official feature by Epic’s season overview. The confirmed premise was an insect invasion, and the powers explicitly described by Epic were attached to gameplay rewards—not to character skins.
For example, defeating the Queen at Demon’s Domain awarded the Mythic O.X.R. Assault Rifle and Springleg Medallion; Epic said the medallion grants a double jump and immunity to fall damage. Defeating the Queen at Ranger’s Ruin awarded the Mythic Sweeper Shotgun and Carapace Medallion, which grants health on elimination and passively regenerates shield up to 50. These are item effects, not evidence that outfits themselves had special powers.
