- Launch Fortnite and reach the lobby.
- Open Discover.

A post-event report placed the Chapter 7 Season 1 launch at approximately 9:30 p.m. ET on November 29, equivalent to 3:30 a.m. CET on November 30. This was a reported release time rather than an exact hour published in Epic’s Zero Hour announcement. Server availability could still vary while maintenance was completed.
The update associated with Chapter 7 Season 1 was reported as version 39.00. Players needed to download the update before entering the new chapter.

That means the commonly repeated claim that Chapter 7 launched exactly three to five hours after Zero Hour should not be treated as an official schedule. Pre-release estimates varied, while Epic officially confirmed the event time and the November 29 chapter date—not a fixed launch hour. See the contemporary reported Chapter 7 launch timing and coverage of the expected maintenance interval for that distinction.

Is Zero Hour still available?
No. As of August 7, 2026, Zero Hour and the Chapter 7 launch are historical events. The access window has closed, and the one-time experience is not an upcoming Fortnite schedule item.
