Did the game become playable for everyone at exactly 7am ET?
The announced start time does not confirm the precise moment maintenance ended, the update finished downloading, or every platform could enter the game. Epic does not establish a single universal server-online time for all players in the announcement.
Where to check Fortnite maintenance and server status
For live service conditions, check Epic Games Public Status or FortniteStatus. Epic says planned downtime messaging is posted in-game about 24 hours in advance and directs players to those status resources for updates.
