Fortnite’s official account reportedly said the profile using the name littlestjeff1 was an existing player’s account renamed after the name appeared in YouTube-related material—not a verified account belonging to Jeffrey Epstein. Epic reportedly said it had no record of the referenced email addresses in its account system. A matching name and tracker activity do not prove who played on the account.
How the “littlestjeff1” Fortnite claim started
A February 6, 2026 report by The Mac Observer described online claims linking a Fortnite profile named littlestjeff1 to Epstein. People pointing to the claim cited the matching name and apparent activity shown by Fortnite-tracking pages. The allegation was sometimes phrased as “Jeffrey Epstein is still alive and actively playing Fortnite.” That is an unverified claim, not an established fact.
The key distinction is between a name appearing in YouTube-related records and a Fortnite account later displaying that name. Outlook Respawn reported that an existing Fortnite account owner changed an unrelated username to littlestjeff1 after the YouTube name became public. The report does not establish that the Fortnite profile belonged to Epstein.
What Fortnite and Epic reportedly said
Dexerto reported that Fortnite Status called the account-name change a ruse and said the profile belonged to an existing player who had changed the account’s name after the YouTube connection was revealed. Fortnite Status also reportedly clarified that tracker pages show a player’s current name, not a history of previous names.

Epic reportedly said it had no record in its account system of the email addresses referenced in the public document. Epic CEO Tim Sweeney was also quoted by Outlook Respawn as saying the name change was recent and was not connected to those archived email addresses. These statements address the alleged link; they do not identify the person behind the Fortnite account.
Why tracker activity does not prove account identity
A tracker page can show activity associated with a profile’s current display name. If a player changes an existing account’s name, a current-name snapshot does not, by itself, show who used that account before the change or establish that the account is connected to a similarly named record elsewhere. Fortnite Status reportedly said trackers do not display prior name changes.

What the reported V-Bucks charge does—and does not—show
Outlook Respawn reported that a separate record dated May 7, 2019 showed a $25.95 V-Bucks charge. The report does not establish that the charge belonged to the littlestjeff1 Fortnite profile or identify who made it. It therefore cannot verify the account’s owner or support the claim that Epstein played on that profile.
What can be concluded
Based on the reports, an existing Fortnite account was renamed to littlestjeff1 after the name became public in YouTube-related material. Fortnite Status reportedly described the rename as a ruse, and Epic reportedly said the email addresses cited in the public document were not in its account system. The available evidence does not establish that the Fortnite account belonged to Jeffrey Epstein.
