Epic Games has acknowledged a Fortnite bug that can make some Outfits load with missing, low-resolution, or warped textures. Its support notice names Wolverine and Indiana Jones as examples and says the issue will be fixed in a future update, but the notice gives no date, platform list, or patch version. It also does not establish whether a later update resolved the bug.
What is the Fortnite Outfit texture bug?
Epic Games Player Support says some Fortnite Outfits do not load textures properly or appear warped. The notice gives Wolverine and Indiana Jones as examples, while warning that multiple Outfits can be affected. It does not provide a complete list of affected Outfits or specify which platforms are affected. Read Epic’s Outfit-specific support notice.
Has Epic fixed the issue?
The notice says, “This will be fixed in a future update,” but it is undated and does not name a version. That wording confirms Epic’s stated intention when the notice was posted; by itself, it does not show that the bug is still pending or that a fix has shipped. The available official notice does not establish the current resolution status.
Is this the same as blurry or pixelated Fortnite textures?
Not necessarily. Epic’s general PC troubleshooting page describes greyish textures or ground textures with static, noise, or pixelation, and says outdated video-card drivers are a typical cause of those symptoms. That advice concerns a different symptom pattern; Epic does not identify driver problems as the cause of the acknowledged warped-Outfit bug. See Epic’s general texture troubleshooting guidance.

- Warped or improperly loaded Outfit: Epic’s Outfit-specific bug notice is the relevant information.
- Grey, noisy, static-filled, or pixelated environment textures on PC: Epic’s general guidance points to outdated video-card drivers as a typical cause and recommends checking for current drivers.
Keeping PC graphics drivers current is sensible for the second set of symptoms, but it is not a confirmed remedy for the Outfit bug.
Will Performance Mode or removing high-resolution textures fix it?
Epic describes Performance Mode as a way for players with less powerful hardware to use lower graphical fidelity. Its guidance also discusses removing high-resolution texture files from a Performance Mode installation to save disk space. Those are graphics and installation options, not a confirmed fix for warped Outfit textures. Read Epic’s Performance Mode guidance.

Epic also notes that an SSD or at least 6 GB of RAM can help older computers fit Fortnite in memory and reduce hitches and stutters. This is general performance advice, not a reason to buy hardware to address this particular bug.
